  1. I agree with everything you say about Ashley, if you'd done your homework before accusing me of all sorts yesterday you would know that. I am one of his biggest critics, I hate the fucker with a passion, as does everyone else on the NUSC committee. Also if you'd like to point out any NUSC statement that says we shouldnt boycott now then Id be interested to see it because I dont remember it. As for the bit in bold, you say that like its your aim, like you want that to happen so he gets screwed. Here below is my breakdown of what Malcolm Shiels says in that interview. Firstly take the headline out of the equation though, that headline had nothing to do with the interview and was merely plugging the Journals poll. What it did do though was taint the interview from the start. Thats not bowing down to MA thats admitting that we all need to swallow some pride if we hope to turn things round. he says "I think", not "the fans think" but a personal I and, as far as I can see hes right. Could anyone disagree with this? Thats the worst thing for us as the moment, its unsettling the fans and more worryingly, the players. Again, all hes doing here is making a clear statement of what we all think, IF Joe is manager then he has to be allowed to manage. And again, these are all things that MA has to do if he has a chance of getting the fans back on side, hes not saying "do this Mike and we'll all love you" hes simply stating things that could change the views of fans. Thats the fact of life, in an ideal world we (almost) all want rid of them but getting rid is not something we can control, its factors way out of the fans reach that decide if and when they go. Always, from day one been the main aim of the NUSC, that has never changed. So all in all no great change of tack, no calls for people to stop boycotting, simply a recognition that we are stuck with MA whether we like it or not and a call for him to sort himself out. Its a PR war, MA has come out this week (via the usual JFK mouthpiece) and said "I want to come back, my kids want to watch the games again" its bollocks but hes saying it because he wants the likes of SSN to come down to SJP and shout about how hes not welcome in the ground and how the fans will rip his throat out if he comes. What he didnt want or expect was what did happen, us coming out and setting down a number of things that are all easily achievable for him to do, its put it back in his court and if (when) he doesnt deliver then there will be even less backing him and more journalists willing to write negative articles about him. If Im wrong on the (when) above then Im more than happy with that, he'll put in money, we'll buy some players, sell less than I expect and we'll stay up. I'll still hate Ashley with a passion and continue to do anything that could help remove him from this club. While hes here though then I will look to him to do the right thing. It isnt rocket science, as a fan we all want this club to survive, regardless of who is involved at the top.
  2. But it wont, what we are saying is that now our focus cannot be on getting him out, it has to be on ensuring the survival of the club we all love. If you can come up with an idea for removing him then please let us know what it is because we cant see any. The days of "sack the board" dont work anymore, hes the owner, he cant and wont sack himself. The only way he can go is by someone buying him out which we all know now is not going to happen before the end of the season. Would you rather we pissed him off more to ensure he doesnt invest in January or try and make him see the sense in speculating to accumulate? The fans cannot lose here under this strategy, if he invests then we have a better chance of Premiership survival, if he doesnt then we've lost nothing because currently he is not going to invest anyway. However in the great PR battle he will lose most if not all of those that currently think hes hard done by and that puts the fans in a much better position with the press etc.
  3. Can we agree a basic fact of life here? Nobody believes a word Ashley says, least of all the NUSC.
  4. Forgive me for keeping my hand in my pocket tbh understandable really, its the only hand you ever get on your bollocks
  5. There was no decision to make though. People seem to be reading that statement as a be all and end all of the matter, its not. Its simply a sticking plaster to try and get us through the rest of the season. Its like saying that you have been diagnosed with a teminal illness and then refusing to take painkillers to allieviate some of the pain until a cure is found. We all want what is best for Newcastle United, it wouldnt matter if the current owner of the club was Ashley, Shepherd, Shearer or Mother Teresa. We would be calling for investment and ensuring that whatever is done is in the best interests of the club. I would rather eat my own shit than personally sit down with Ashley but as I said in another thread, I would do it if needed because this club is dying on its arse and nobody on here has shouted louder than I have on that subject. I do however acknowledge that you physically cannot force someone to sell a football club if there is nobody out there willing to buy it and currently there is nobody, that is partly down to Ashely and partly to the current climate. Dont be fooled by the newspaper stories about two bids etc, they were bullshit nobody is interested in buying the club in its current state. We cannot do anything to change that but we can try and get Ashley to. As far as Im concerned this isnt the end of it, we dont just sit there and think "ok hes here so lets forget about things" we now try and get him to invest, try and get him to sort a proper strucutre out and tell us what the hell is going on. Ultimately though everyone on the NUSC committee believes that he cannot do enough to turn around the way he and the board are perceived and will ultimately have to sell. Until then though lets get this club stable and give ourselves a chance of staying in the Premiership, that in itself will beneift all of us, we will still have a football club and he has a better chance of selling it. If you want my own personal opinion though I dont think he will do anything to work with the fans or turn things round, everything Ive said in the thread I made the other week I believe still stands but I dont want to be right, I want people to laugh at me and say I was a wanker because of how wrong I got it, so until then I'll do whatever small thing I can to help that happen. Again though the overall problem is with the numbers of members, we cannot do credible protesting or for that matter claim to represent the fans properly until we have a good enough membership base and enough of those members willing to carry out organised protesting. The NUSC only has the best interests of the club at its heart, it however cannot make any difference to it until it has a credible support. Until then we can do what we think is right and hope that people see us for what we are, a supporters club that want to get down to doing the supporters club things such as charity events, fans nights, away game meetings etc etc but cant because all this shit is going on. Some good points there and after my initial revulsion and the idea of 'forgiving' Ashley I'm beginning to come round to your way of thinking. My point concern about NUSC is the decision making process and it's also a similar problem we also face with MPs. Are NUSC there to represent our views? Or are they there to make decisions on our behalf? If they're going to represent the fans' views then there are obviously going to be problems with guaging those views and having a 'pure' democracy, similarly, if NUSC try and move away from the popular opinion then they could lose the support and confidence of the fans. It's a tricky situation and one in which there are no clear cut answers. Agreed, its a no win situation but again is one of the reasons why you need a paying membership and not giving it out for free otherwise it will be hijacked by opposition fans and even NUFC fans with hidden agendas and multiple accounts. Ive detailed before the plans for the website, which I will be working on this weekend, that will contain a members area with a questionnaire in which can be updated at any time. This (if used properly) will allow us to see what the current feeling is at any time. It cant ask every question but the likes of this one would be in there. To reiterate though for the likes of johnnyc, this is not a turnaround as far as the NUSC is concerned its simply making the best of what we are stuck with to try and ensure some kind of Premiership survival for the club. For the immediate future we have no alternative answers and JC can shout and slag off people all he likes but I dont see him coming up with a solution. When he does then Im sure people will happily listen to his pearls of wisdom.
  6. who the fuck is this cunt? If I remember correctly we paid a reduced price for this years ST if we signed up for this (someone correct me if Im wrong, my memory is shot to shit), in my case I saved £50, if youve cancelled the DD then you are not eligible for that discount so thnerefore owe the club the discount. Feel free to meet up with me before the game, its well documented where we drink and I stand out a mile. Come along I'll buy you a pint and you can call me a condecending prick to my face (if you get a chair to stand on).

  8. # It is incorrect that cancelling DD payments for next seasons tickets will go against you on your credit rating. That is absolute tosh - cancelling a credit agreement because of a reasonable cause would have to result in court action being taken by the supplier -NUFC -do you think for one minute that the club will take their own season ticket holders to court??? These are scare stories being used by the club. This man has taken all of the TV Money, season ticket money, and spent nothing. Newcastle will post an operating profit at the end of the season - this is fact. As regards who would be better, why doesn't Ashley come out and say that the bids made by XXX are insufficient due to my wanting £300M+ for a club which I paid £134M and then cancelled out a debt for £60M. all other debts have been transferred into loan payments due back to Ashley. If anybody can come up with a reasonable argument as to why this Fat Shyster deserves a profit on a club he has nearly destroyed feel free???? The gullibility factor of some fans??? is astonishing. Do you not realise what this man has done and why he is now using his puppet JFK to try and smooth the way. He has no feeligs whatsoever towards NUFC and is purely looking to make a profit at our expense. WAKE UP and see what this bastard has done Go on then fucking do it. cancel your DD and see what happens, we've taken advice on it from experts (including the three solicitors on the committee) and all advice says its a bad move to do it. No doubt however you would have blamed us if we had said it should be done. I havent got a fucking clue who you are but frankly mate if I was you Id take the time to research through my previous posts before even thinking about having the bastard fucking gall to accuse me of giving in to MA or being swayed by anything hes said. Firstly already cancelled any DD - I'll be over the moon to go to court over that. So you are a member of NUSC??? Are you happy with your chairman's spineless statement, because I think you'll find the answer as to which way the fans think if Fatboy shows up at St James. As for blaming NUSC - what a crock of shit- you don't represent the majority of the Newcastle fans - why the turnaround - has he now replied and invited you into the boardroom for a chat and a drink? As for accusing you about what - I don't have the time to research all your posts - get ower yersel you big tart. Answer the question as to why the turnaround/cave in/???????? Thick as fucking mince Your credit rating will suffer before you are taken to court, they probably wont take you there because they wont want the publicity but it wont matter you will be unable to get a mortgage, new car or even a mobile phone. Thats your perogative and I commend you on doing it, out of interest though how did you pay the club the fifty quid you owe them for this year? Or didnt you? technically thats obtaining services by deception which in itself is a criminal matter and they will take you to court for it and you wont win (oh and while you're on that means you're defrauding the rest of us fans as well). If you did pay them then well done you've just handed Ashley more cash and will do so next year as well. Nice one, funding the fat twat and Wise as well. Unless of course you're not going to the games anymore then that would mean you were either a fair weather fan or unwilling to give the support when its most needed. Again well done sooopafan and all that. see, you cant win. a bit like the NUSC really, now I ask you again. What do you propose is the action we take?
  9. What an absolute fucking disgrace you are, some people have put a shitload of time and money into setting the NUSC up, our own personal time and money that is. unpaid money, unreturned time and frankly personally I wouldnt have it any other way but sometimes I do bastard despair at the level of support that some people think its ok to give. The NUSC was set up because people wanted a concerted, organised effort when it came to protesting, so we did. Some people put their hands in their pockets and forked out for 10,000 leaflets to be printed, one or two of us received police cautions handing those leaflets out and what did we get in return? People moaning that it was litter. I build and host the website, again out of my own pocket and not funded by my business (I pay the money into the business myself as its something I believe in and not covered by part of my business plan or structure) and why should my business partner lose out on something they have no interest in. The time taken to update and run the site is my spare, after i get in from the day job and after Ive done all the business work. So its usually 2, 3, 4am when Im doing it. Others are spending whole nights researching stuff and writing articles, letters and emails to promote and broadcast the clubs aims while yet more are spending their own time and cash travelling to attend FSA meetings to promote the cause of NUFC fans everywhere. What do we get in return for all that? "Fans" accusing us of lining our own pockets! Even though every penny is accounted for and like I say thousands are saved by us donating our own resources. If I wanted to I could charge the NUSC for webspace and work done but it wont happen, never will, even when a new committee is voted in because its something I believe in, something I agreed to even before the mention of paid subscriptions was made. Anyway back to topic, we gave people what was asked and were slated for it. People told us that it was our fault he was selling up even though we didnt even have the founding meeting until two days after MA's "Im off" statement. We then tried stepping up the campaign and were ridiculed for it and yes we've made mistakes with some of the statements made but that was down to people becoming too involved and too passionate about the subject. Again though the likes of yourself slate us for it without offering any alternative. So finally, MA comes out and admits what I've been telling you for over a month, that there is no buyer and we're stuck with him for the foreseeable future. I wasnt saying that because Id guessed it, I told you it because it was fact, we knew he didnt have a buyer but again people didnt believe us when we said. "Oh leave him alone, you've caused all this" was the general concensus. So now we get to where we are now, MA is NOT going anywhere before the end of the season, we cant force him out, maybe we could if we had a membership of 50,000 but we dont and we dont have that because people didnt sign up because we were protesting! So what do you honestly think is the correct course of action for the NUSC to take? We are Newcastle fans, we want what is best for this football club. If MA cant (or wont) get a buyer then we cant force someone to buy it therefore we have to try and get the best out of the situation. That means trying to organise dialogue with MA and getting him to see sense in what he does next. Currently hes stating he wont pay out for players, I believe he will sell players instead. Hopefully by doing this we can get him to see sense and turn things around. It would take a hell of a lot though to forgive him. Malcolm made the statement that if MA did these things then maybe he will be accepted back in. Its a fucking big maybe though. As for consulting the membership, what exactly would you want us to say? how about "its like this folks we have two options, 1) Try and get MA to invest some cash and ensure our survival as a Premiership club (even possibly as a club full stop) or 2) tell him to go fuck himself and we'll spend some cash on nice new banners that will make {insert name of random lunatic billionaire or sheik here} think "ooooooh I wanna buy that club" Its not going to happen, I've been more vocal than anyone on here about my dislike of MA but frankly if it meant the survival of this club then Id take it up the ringpiece from him and Wise in a tag team never mind swallowing my pride and sitting down over tea and cakes to discuss what he needs to do. Id do all that for the good of this club but what do I get in return? some daft fucker deciding Im a makem because of it. Now lets see you reply with a sensible alternative to what we're doing. Interestingly Im happy to bet that you arent a member even though everything we've done before now has been right up your alley by the sound of things. As for the website address, has anyone tried nusc.org.uk? its only sitting on the long one because we had to grab one quick (the original site was thrown together and up and running 6 hours after the meeting took place) so I bought that one, we then got the .org.uk one and redirected it to the main one. It was too much hassle and risk in moving the entire database and site to the other when this does just as well. In press interviews people are supposed to use the short one, its probably my fault however that they dont at times because I always work on the big account and automatically paste that into threads, links etc. Oh and PaddockLad, the money goes into the coffers and is used for things such as the purchase of the membership cards and packs, postage costs to send them out. Theres proper supporters club stuff in the offing as well, members nights planned, talk ins with ex players, that sort of thing. All of which will be subsidised by the NUSC. Overall though its there for future things, if we need a big protest and have to print 50k leaflets then the money is there. At the same time if the club did something along the lines of moving fans from their seats as they did in the past then there will be money there to help those affected with legal assistance etc. At the same time if we built up a good enough membership and werent spending the money then we wouldnt continue to keep pulling it in to just sit in an account. We'd look to reduce the price, offer discounts to members, give something back etc etc. This isnt a money making exercise, frankly we'd love to be able to offer it for free but theres two reasons why we cant, firstly it costs money to run it and secondly to stop it being infiltrated by the makems, if it was free then we'd see concerted efforts by certain fansites etc to bollocks up votes and stuff. Read the terms and conditions on the site though and you'll see that it will NEVER be wasted and should the club close down then any money left over after its paid its debts will be given to charity.

  11. I'll put a full reply on when I get to a proper computer. DD wise though we have investigated and fans don't have a leg to stand on. Cancelling a DD agreement will go against your credit rating and ultimately cause you grief. That's why the NUSC haven't recommended it.
  12. I think their approach is just a pragmatic one in terms of what is best for the club. I agree with most of what you say btw. The trouble is, he can't really be forced to sell imo. Not without doing much more damage to NUFC anyway. Agreed alex, no matter what you think of the man personally or as a chairman, whats right for the club in the current circumstances (economic) may not be a continuation of an adversarial relationship between the man with the purse strings and those who desperately want to see the club's current situation improve i.e. fucking everyone else. Exactly, we all want what's best for NUFC regardless, if we're stuck with him for the near future then we want to try and get him to do the right things. He wasn't spending money or listening to the fans when everything appeared to be rosey so I don't expect that to change just because NUSC have shown to have no backbone.
  13. Furry 'gnasher wise' badges are on order
  14. I know theres another thread but a few people have been waiting for this and finally its here, all thanks to MaggiesPaws for some hefty work. Theres a beer here for you mate. So if you've been waiting for it then heres the link > http://www.newcastle-united-supporters-clu.../membership.php it uses paypal but you dont need to be a paypal member as it accepts credit / debit cards. Peter
  15. I wish. You defend Wise and seem very very touchy about Ashley. FACT. Yeah but nobody likes Ashley whereas with Dann.....errr
  16. I wish. I bet, at least you'd have some kind of respect on here even if it was only from Baggy
  17. bunch of cunts the lot of them. Mort was Ashleys mouthpiece number 1 and nothing else. Looks like it I honestly cannot understand how any Newcastle fan can believe a single word from any of them My understanding is that Mort parted company because he didnt like the way the club was moving. I also heard that he had to come back personally a while ago to force them to pay the money the club owed Freshfields for his work. Tight arsed cunt that Ashley is he didnt even have the decency to pay the bloke who sorted all his shit out. (allegedly)
  18. Ahhh so selective lying is ok then? we had a definite "all debt paid off" from Mort when he first took over.
  19. N'Zogbia has already stated he wants to leave and Owen has not had a contract renewed, he is away in the summer regardless therefore a businessman (which is what Ashley is) will try and get cash in for him rather than let him go on a free (on top of that we will save £100k every week hes not here). I dont normally, however everything so far is going as I predicted it would, statements made to make us feel better and keep things going until JFK is given a longer role are then countered once hes in the seat. I actually think you are deluded ;D Nice enough, sensible view on what should happen. My view is made clear in another thread and Im so confident that Im willing to offer you odds of 10/1 on the following: None of the following players will go: Owen, Martins, Barton, Given. (Ive even removed CNZ as a favour to you because its so nailed on its untrue). Confident enough to back it with a bet? N'Zogbia has not stated he wants to leave at all, his AGENT had made some mumblings in france, of which CNZ came out and said he wants to stay but if the club wished to sell him he could do nothing about it. Owen has not been offered a contract no, but now the club is not going to be sold until next year id imagine there will be talks of a new contract. You think im deluded? Rather deluded than narrow minded mate, you blinded by your own opinion, either one of us could be right or wrong, only time will tell. And if i had some extra money sitting about id take you up on that fella, NONE of them will leave. No, Im a realist, rather get myself into this way of thinking now as frankly I cant be disappointed come February. Im ready for it, if however you're so confident then you wont need to worry about having the money spare as its nailed on, isnt it? Isnt it? Or are you slowly realising that everytime theres been something that looks ok its come crashing down under this lot? I would have given you the same odds a month ago on there being a sale before the end of the season. Still if you're willing to believe that a Director of Football who sits with the opposition fans has our club at heart then I stand by the deluded statement.
  20. It would be totally illegal though, I have confirmation emails here with the reduced amount on. You should have too. Anything more charged and you give them hell.
  21. Missed that. You do realise though that if Danny's right and I get a bill I'll be giving you a phonecall asking for my money. Not sure anything like that's happened to you before. Lets just hope Im not on a conference call with work on the other line at the time!!!!
  22. And it appears to work multiple times, put two orders in and both are accepted
