I've also heard today that the club has laid off a number of personnel, office staff etc, added to that the fact that the stewarding has recently been sold off and a net profit on the September window and you have to now wonder what the fuck is going on? How can we need to lay off staff when theres been at least 3 million more come in at the start, x millions less going out in interest payments etc and no spending on players?

Can I just say that if we go down then I dont want us to come straight back up. I would hope that we'd see a period of stabilisation and rebuilding before storming the league the season after, otherwise we're likely to become a yo-yo club in the mould of the makems. I think when you look at how shit the first half of the season has been and then imagine us in the second half without the likes of Owen, Barton, Given, Martins etc and you have to think we're fooked. Plus if JFKs Christmas talk is anything like the half time team talks then we're going to lose everything next year.
