Well its that time of year again and this year I couldnt give a shit and presonally hope we get drawn against one of the big four away and go out gracefully. Not kicking and screaming against some Championship or lower team. We have far bigger things to worry about than this and frankly just as the bottom club at Christmas rarely stays up theres often been a relegated team do well in this competition, that to me is no coincidence. I'm talking from a purely logical point of view. If he wants to sell the club for the amount he's been whoring it about for then there is no way us going down makes sense fiscally. I am too, hes not done anything since the day he said he was selling to make this club a saleable asset. Not even any kind of statement to show for it. It doesnt make financial sense but like Ive said in other threads I dont believe he actually believes it can happen and therefore will do nothing to counter its possibility.

How about contacting the FA to question Ashley's motives now that he has said he doesn't want the club. Apologies I misread your original post and assumed you were having a go at us releasing press statements. Take a look back over the original thread and you'll see why we havent released the statements you talk about. Its because every time we did release one it knocked us further back as a supporters club. People were questioning why we didnt just shut the fuck up and leave things be... so we did. One this online payment us up tomorrow and we start getting more members then we can look at whats wanted by them, so far though the general consensus of opinion from the message boards seems to be that we shouldnt release statements of any kind. To be honest its a bit weird, now that people are starting to see the whole "sale is going through", "8 interested parties", "2 bids", "due dilligence is ongoing" etc statements from Orville are crap then the same people that told us to shut up are now saying "why the hell arent you doing something?" Cant win tbh. (none of that is a dig at you btw).

There is, they've now started on the "if Shearer loved this club as much as he says he does then he would have come in". Now when we go down they will point the finger and say "see, if that bastard had just taught Shola how to hit the back of the net and Viduka how to not get injured then the fact we'd sold Owen and Martins in January wouldnt have mattered. It is probably for the best, but it's the least worst option, nothing like a good option. And the thing again is even if Kinnear does get what Keegan was promised (money and the final say), I'm not massively convinced I want Kinnear rebuilding the squad (although as it's between him and Wise ), although in fairness not much he could willingly do would make it worse. Totally agree, I feel that giving us the stability of a manager til the end of the season at least takes some of that uncertainty away, to be fair its the only option we had.

We have had a period of contemplation and are now working towards bringing people what they really want ie a Supporters Club, yes that club may take part in some protesting as time goes on but first and foremost our thoughts are on doing proper Supporters things. Rather than just come out with it two weeks ago, theres been a lot of work going on in the background to bring some stuff together oh and thanks to Mr Paws we are almost ready to take memberships online. So watch this space as I reckon we'll be doing some stuff soon.
