You seem however to have got your tense wrong mate, we have attempted dialogue, 3 times and been totally ignored every time. In the meantime everything we do has stalling tactics put in place by the club. We set up the NUSC so what did the club do? 2 weeks later it announces its "become an officially recognised supporters group" initiative. Stuff like that is going on all the time, Im not even convinced that our attempts to enter dialogue with the club over Sir Bob will amount to anything. Are you now saying that we should pussy foot around Ashley and co? call them Mr Ashley, Mr Wise etc in all communications and times we talk about them? make sure we dont do anything to upset them on the hope they will talk to us? Im fairly certain if we did that then we'd have a repeat of what we had a week ago where we were being slagged off for saying that it was possible for Ashley to turn this round. I cant see how its a strange way to go about it, all I suss from that is you would rather we kiss his arse until he does talk to us. He knows how we feel about him, he would be even more wary I would imagine if we suddenly made out we were all pally with him on the hope he'll talk. I repeat again my question of what exactly is wrong with the rhyme? If it was "there once was a fat twat called Ashley, who took it up the arse quite rashly..." then I'd see your point. If thats your view then you want to hope he doesnt read the "Time Left" article, I think we actually dare to ask him some questions in that!

And hes the only one who doesnt get his name sung....although Mido just cries about it when he does

It has to be said, Sammy has a grasp of it like. It does appear that the words of Freddie in there do at times ring true. What we appear to have become is a group of supporters who can never make their minds up when it comes to Ashley, its "fat bastard cunt" here, "oooh dont call him a name" there. A dozen messages a day on this board call Ashley a cunt and nobody bats an eyelid yet a lighthearted look at our current situation comes from the NUSC and suddenly its crass and makes us out to not be a serious organisation. We are coming upto election time and you can guarantee both the Conservatives and Labour will be producing the same sort of things in the run up, as they have done for years, does that make either of them a joke party? No, its an easy on the eye jokey way to get a serious message across. Its protesting without the protest, its press statements without you all shouting "oh fuck not again, when will they shut up?" I dont see how it damages our reputation as a serious group. We are working tirelessly (sic? not sure if that means on rims!) to get the SBR day up and running, while trying to mount a serious promotion campaign to get people to see what we are doing. How can we do any of that without the likes of this? If it was a hate filled, expletive stuffed Chubby Brown-esqe ditty about how fat Ashley is then I could see the point but its not, its a take on an old English rhyme that has been carefully written to avoid offence.

And where does it say that?

How long before Clarke cuts his teeth in the big boys chair? Or is he one of these coaches who'll never make the step up to Manager, but will remain a very good coach? I reckon its soon and the way West 'Am are going then hes not got any reason to hang round at the mo. -

Sounds like a damned fine idea to me..... NUSC to canvass the idea? NUSC need to contact the vatican about a sainthood tbh. We already have, seemingly I dont qualify just cos Im not catholic

I've also heard today that the club has laid off a number of personnel, office staff etc, added to that the fact that the stewarding has recently been sold off and a net profit on the September window and you have to now wonder what the fuck is going on? How can we need to lay off staff when theres been at least 3 million more come in at the start, x millions less going out in interest payments etc and no spending on players?

aye, I saw that !!!! eermm....has this opinion stuck then It caused a 6yr old huff of major proportions.i wouldn't go to the game for oooh, 3 weeks. Perhaps this has clouded my judgement, but i still wouldn't put him up there in my'favourite toon gaffers' list when I was about 9, my favourite player was Trevor Hockey Can't say I'm familiar with him-any good? He paved the way for the likes of Milburn who were to come years later aye, he even had a stand named after him Nah man, that was Davy East
-
We should be celebrating this mans life while hes here, not waiting for him to go before having a wake. I say NUFC should have a Sir Bobby day, everyone raise a glass to the man, let him sit in the dugout and we can sing Robson wonderland all game. Then beer and festivities all evening. Much rather do something like that than be sombre when hes gone.

I currently pay £500 for the priviledge of watching us get beat off big names such as Stoke, Hull, Fulham etc. If Im going to watch us crumble to Burnley, Blackpool, Swansea and the like then I'd get a £350 ticket thank you very muchly.

Wouldn't surprise if the Fat C*nt tried to sell the actual seats, he's tried just about everything else. yup and then proclaim the return of terracing for the fans (at a price)
-
I would have no problem with that personally, but only if the prices per game were lowered for pay as you go fans. well I don't expect to pay 500sheets to see Norwich, Barnsley, Plymouth etc
-
according to a reliable source 9000 ST holders took up the 3 year offer of which approx 40% paid it all upfront. By my reckoning that's about what? 3 million upfront? With a further 4.5mill or so over the next year via DD.
