1. Clark and McDermott - dream team.
2. Where's the Sibierski option?
3. Aye, new spoof interviews with Ali G, Borat and the gay German fashion reporter bloke. All in the US by the looks of it (he would get spotted a mile off in the UK now). 192176 Austrian fashion reporter [/pedant alert] Looking forward to this. What channel is it on?
4. It's all the window's fault, Shepherd said so himself.
5. Jesus will also be weeping at these comments from the Sun (who else?): Obsessed?
6. Watch him do it all over again next summer.
7. Jesus fucking wept indeed. "We do not want Glenn Roeder to buy players willy-nilly" - that's right, you want him to buy players off Willy - McKay, that is.
8. possibly not, but with a smalll squad, and having already shelled out 15-16m quid. Thats the point. We knew, or should have done, that the Souness legacy was this, or at least some of us said so. We would be better off if Bellamy and Robert were still here, agreed ? And considering he wanted them out so desperately we got 4m quid for the 2 of them, who can possibly defend THAT ? 189826 You do understand the Chairmen has to OK all sales right. Souness didn't do it behind the fat ones back. 189832 you do understand that chairman are supposed to allow their managers to run the playing side of the club, right ? So, if he DID veto any transfers on playing grounds, which appears to be what you are indicating you want, you would have a lot to say wouldn't you ? Seriously, I have my doubts, it seems the vast amount of people on here don't seem to understand this ..... nor the financial state of the club, mostly brought about by the last manager, despite it being as clear as the glass in front of your face. 190603 Re: Souness and his bad buys, do you accept that it seems to be common knowledge that the Shepherds rather than Souness were the driving force behind the Luque deal?
9. Why all the complaints that he got a new contract, if he didn't actually get one? Surely we didn't just give him more cash on the same length of contract? 190497 Perhaps they're still in talks over a new contract?
10. Both Nobby and Moore have indicated before that they would only be here for one more season, I think they will both return to Peru/Australia. I guess Bramble will probably get a new contract.
11. Exactly, gets no sympathy off me. Most clubs in the league would die to have £15m available to spend on players, we're the lucky ones. 190456 Exactly.
12. The problem is not that we're skint because of Souness, even though it's still shocking to think that we paid £10m for Luque. The problem is that it looks like there were probably between £16m and £20m to spend, and we blew it all on two players, one of whom is completely unproven and the other is a luxury. There seems to be no coherent transfer policy at all.
13. Good job he got that operation done in the summer then...
14. Out for nearly 2 months. 190381 Seriously? I completely missed that! We're fucked then, I can't see Martins adapting quickly by playing up front or his own or alongside another midget.
15. Speaking of Ameobi, any news on how serious his injuries are?
16. Great journalism, seeing as today the reports are that he has signed, fud! http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...rm+Huth+arrival 190363 For fuck's sake, I'm a journalist and if I were as unprofessional as Oliver, I'd be out on my arse after the next article.
17. What happened to my other avatar?
18. It's beyond a joke, how incompetent can you get? If we were so skint, we shouldn't have blown £5m on Duff and/or gone for two or three Bosmans. Six defenders, one of whom is Peter Ramage - a recipe for disaster in every sense.
