With the exception of the likes of James Milner and Nobby, Butt was one of our best players last year. I would say he had more than a few good games.

Not really a bad price considering other prices for players, got to be a better choice than Carr. A mannequin in a toon shirt would be a better choice than Carr tbh. I dunno with the amount of times her legs have been wide open in the last few years I could see many a player megging her..

"Shimmy, shimmy, cocoa pop. Shimmy, shimmy, rock. Shimmy, shimmy, cocoa pop. Shimmy, shimmy, rock. I met a girlfriend - a triscuit. She said, a triscuit - a biscuit. Ice cream, soda pop, vanilla on the top. Ooh, Shelly's out, walking down the street, ten times a week. I read it. I said it. I stole my momma's credit. I'm cool. I'm hot. Sock me in the stomach three more times....."

Newcastle's summer signing David Rozehnal is hoping to adapt quickly to life in the Premier League. The Czech Republic has played in France and Belgium, but knows England will be a different proposition. However, Rozehnal is desperate to impress and is keen to give his all to help Newcastle challenge for honours. "For me it'll be important that I'll try to find a way to play in this Premier League, of course it's a different style," he told Sky Sports News. "I'm looking forward to it, because for me it's a big step. I'd like to show to everyone that they made a good choice. "I want to help of course my team be one of the best in the Premier League."

I have been trying to keep out of this as should most IMO but can I clear up that both have left (or at least for the time being to my knowledge) of their own doing. None of the two of them were asked to leave nor were they banned and both would be more than welcome back. Nothing is a disgrace as it really has nothing to do with the forum both in how and what has happened. And whilst the admin etc have been getting abuse and stuff being shouted about favoritism this is coming from someone who is friends with both will be having few drinks with both of them next weekend so I fail to see where favoritism or sides comes into it.

Nar you don't like. Or Derek Wright, you bellend! You're the one who fucking asked if you did though! Aye but you were probably too busy injecting to be able to tell if he does or not, Mr Doherty!

Seeing as its been mentioned a few times I may as well fill people in about the piss up forum. Yes there is an additional section but it not about being cliquey as there are really no threads other than those with pics of piss ups that have taken place. It is just a way for the photos to be shared amongst others that were there without them being in the public domain which some do no want is perfectably understandable IMO. Just thought I would clear things up. I smell bullshit Why the wink?

Newcastle United have slapped in a £7m bid for a top-class defender as Sam Allardyce continues to try and strengthen his back four. United have refused to disclose just who their target is but it is likely to be a central defender or left back. United have been desperate for a left-back for some time now – and that need has become even more urgent. For the Chronicle can reveal that Celestine Babayaro is in Germany having his groin and hernia problems examined by top specialist Dr Ulrike Mushaweck. It was Frau Mushaweck who got both Alan Shearer and Steve Harper back on their feet in the last two seasons, but even if she has the same success with Babayaro, the Nigerian international still looks set to miss the start of the season, leaving Big Sam without a recognised left-back. Reports that Allardyce wants Fulham left-back Franck Queudrue are wide of the mark and in any case the Frenchman is only valued at £3m. United’s latest bid is twice this amount – the figure that has been bandied around for Manchester United’s Argentinian international left- back Gabriel Heinze. Allardyce has admitted he is keeping an eye on the Heinze situation and will be aware that Sir Alex Ferguson has refused to let him move to Liverpool. Big Sam and Fergie are pals, but while Allardyce’s interest in Heinze is bold and ambitious, somehow I just cannot see him coming to St James’ Park with Real Madrid and Barcelona also interested. But one big-name player who could still do that is Brazilian international Edmilson and his departure from the Nou Camp looks even more likely after Barcelona signed yet another defender yesterday when they paid Real Zaragoza £13.8m for top Argentinian defender Gabriel Milito. Edmilson, who could well skipper Brazil in the 2010 World Cup, will be out until October or November following his knee operation, but I am told Allardyce would like something sorted out before then. But I also understand that, after Allardyce travelled to Barcelona at the end of last month and talked to the 30-year-old Brazilian defender, United are in pole position. Meanwhile, as revealed in the Chronicle yesterday, West Ham are more than keen to give Kieron Dyer the chance to join his former United colleagues Craig Bellamy, Scott Parker and Lee Bowyer at Upton Park. The Hammers are expected to step up their interest after their midfielder Julien Faubert, for whom they have just paid Bordeaux £6.1m, ruptured his Achilles tendon, which means he will be out for six months. A switch to East London would give Dyer the chance to move closer to his family, based in his home town of Ipswich. Whether Dyer goes or not remains to be seen, but it looks as though one player who will be staying at St James’ Park is Obafemi Martins. Arsene Wenger’s admiration for the Nigerian striker is well known, but it does not look as though Arsenal are going to take advantage of the £13m get-out clause in Martins’ contract. A potential move to Arsenal would turn any player’s head, but I am told that Martins has buckled down and looks determined to give his all for Allardyce.

Setanta Sports for £5 a month for 3 months
Scottish Mag replied to thenorthumbrian's topic in Newcastle Forum
For anyone who has Sky Multiroom and is looking to purchase it, be warned that unlike Prem Plus which works in both rooms, the Setanta subscription only works on one box and to get it in another room you need to pay more. -

When I done the Princes Trust whilst I was employed with Royal Mail I had to do work experience (which was a it fucking stupid sending me to some stupid job when I actually had one). I went to work in an Artists gallery/workshop where they tried to get me to spend a day picking masking tape off of wooden boards. Spent the morning listening to the radio then went for lunch and never went back. Fuck that I wasn't being there biatch for a week..
