We are winning ? Which dreamland are you in today ? I am pleased you think all the murders, muggings, the use of weapons, the burglaries, the violence and disregard for others shown in ever increasing numbers, is "winning"....the disregard for life which has grown over the last few decades through the influx of others from other parts of the world who have never shown much regard for human life or others .... Wound up ? Nah, never - it takes more than a do gooder to wind me up, I just think you are an appeaser, and yes an I'm all right Jack..you did prove it by your rant against Mckeag....what law did he break, other than shit in your nest ??? And you still don't answer the question about Hoare, who is the result of the hand wringing and soft attitude of others like yourself.. I take it you are pleased he is free then .. I hope he doesn't live in your street. What would be your reaction then ? Rob, I answer your questions, and all you can say is I am "wound up", well I'm answering your questions, and my views are consistent. What are yours ... wierd but the person who always says "wound up" first is the one who is trying to deflect the point or not be specific about answering !!!

Vote for Leazes - you'll be allowed to pull out your Colt 45 and waste them for that and get the Freedom of Newcastle 45249 Still avoiding the question I see ....... as well as the problem ... love and understanding to murderers and rapists, spawned by your failed generation .. do you agree with Hoare being free or not ... [do you care] .... as per the topic, what is your opinion on these kids on the metro ... [do you care] Such childish jibes instead ..... I bet you were a CND sympathiser too ?

You are mistaken mate. I have never mentioned "govern". I am talking about criminals, and lawbreakers being punished in accordance with the crime they commit, in some cases taught a lesson, and for the arseholes, keep them out of harms way where they cannot inflict more misery and infringe on the wishes of the vast majority of people who are considerate, and law abiding and have the right to live their life, and so have as such retained this right, without such other twats ruining it for them. Is this wrong then ?

I don't necessarily disagree with the sentiment (and Rob's old enough to stick up for himself anyway ), but you've got to admit there's an element of "boy who cried wolf" after a while... 45203 like it or not, we will ALL be talking him until the day he is kicked out and disappears for good

"leave them alone they aren't breaking any laws"...oh "and if you don't like it you can always go to Saudi Arabia".......RobW 45190 One anti-Souness post registered on the Newcastle Forum already, followed immediately by this on General. LM's work for today is done. 45192 You'd think so, wouldn't you...? 45195 yes but it's a fair point though isn't it

Its a myth that Ferguson didn't do well at ManU from the off, it really is. It took him about 4 years to actually win something, but iirc he got them to 2nd in the league in their second year. Not too shabby considering the mess they were in when he inherited them (this topic has been debated before). Anyway, I still find it utterly laughable that anyone can look at Ferguson's record and seriously try and draw any comparison with Souness. Seriously, even Alistair Campbell wouldn't try and get away with that much spin. 45004 Exactly, and if mufc-allover came on and took the piss for it, I for one wouldn't blame him in the slightest. Anyway..where is he ?

hmmmm you are referring to his first few years at manu .. A manager who wins a european trophy and smashes the 2 man league in Scotland is most definitly worth giving time ....... rather than a man who leaves most of his clubs on the slide The point is the money Owen cost is the Shearer replacement money..whereas the Bellamy replacement money is only 4.5 m quid........who do you think we will get for 4.5m quid.....as spending more is money wasted due to fuckwit and his ego which is what some of us have been saying for a while now ..... 45002 come on LM.no doubt a few months ago you were laughing off getting owen, before that any attempt at rooney. OK then i'll go for it,i reckon we'll spend more than £4.5MILL on forward come jan or next summer. 45008 we more than likely will mate. But the point is, how much, and will he be as good ? Will the end result be an inferior replacement, for more money, leaving more money spent overall, for a worse league position. If this is the eventual scenario even those who are still supporting fuckwit cannot possibly say he has been anything but a failure. With all the wishful thinking in the world, Souness isn't going to suddenly turn into Alex Ferguson any more than Ameobi is going to turn into Alan Shearer. I wasn't laughing at an attempt at buying Rooney, I thought the club may have done it because I believe when it comes to spending money, Shepherd delivers the goods, he always has, I was just worried as to how they would get it and put it together. Like now and the recent spending spree [ie being overcharged for some players] to bail fuckwit out

aye just let them all free to live next door to you

Previous convictions are taken into account when sentencing, but not as evidence of guilt during a trial. You don't have to be an expert on jurisprudence to understand the reasons for this. I find it strange you bring this particular case up as an example of lax sentencing. Personally, I would think 4 years is more than what I would expect. It was a ridiculously selfish (and probably thoughtless) thing to do, but his life is now effectively ruined - he'll probably never get a decent job with that conviction. Considering what some scumbags get away with, that's harsh imo. 44713 It wasn't to highlight the sentence mate, just the stupidity of the guy in question... and questioning why or what we have as a country are doing or have done to produce such bloody idiots .....
-
I would admire his positive frame of mind if he showed even the slightest desire on the pitch to back it up
-
Boring to have to say it again but Souness is replacing the sooon to retire Shearer with Owen and i totally agree with him on that decision, currently he hasn't replaced Bellamy (and Kluivert for that matter) and will have to replace Bellamy in January. 44917 ....... just beat me to it Add that he won't replace him adequately for 4.5m quid either .... Then he has to match the results of Bobby Robson, 50m + later

I do listen. You simply have NO opinion on this because you simply DON'T GIVE A TOSS, because it doesn't affect you - the ultimate I'm all right Jack McKeag was also legally and justifiably according to the law of the land, major shareholder and chairman of Newcastle, yet you almost choked on your pipe.... "McKeag is personal". Absolute proof of the I'm all right Jack mentality, that if an ex jailbird or rapist like Hoare lived next door to you, you would be bothered, because then it would be personal. Or if someone harmed yourself or someone you knew etc that would be personal. The whole point is that, according to you and the other hand wringers, they are free because their sentence is over and they are supposed to be safe to be free - if not change the law, it's as simple as that. If you or anyone on here really thinks this bloke Hoare will ever be "reformed" .... he is absolute proof that the law is wrong, and your attitude of letting them go free is absolute madness. I have no wish to live in Saudi Arabia, such jibes just make a mockery of any argument you put up, it just looks ridiculous and childish to be honest. It's no answer, because you know you don't have one. So I ask you again, do you feel the imprisonment of Hoare has worked to the extent that now he is free he is no danger to the public, yes or no. If yes, then explain why you think the law should not be changed, explain why you think he should be out when he is clearly still a danger to women, and explain what moving to Saudi Arabia has anything to do with it.

I first saw Blazing Saddles when it was new, it was the B film and a film called Alvin Purple was the A film. Wouldn't mind watching Alvin Purple again, it was about a pop star based on the theme of the "confessions of a ... " but much better. Both films were good and it was a cracking double show. Blazing Saddles went on to bigger heights though, prob my favourite ever now. EDIT: In fact, here it is http://www.movieflix.com/movie_info.mfx?movie_id=3031

bought Blazing Saddles on DVD for 5.99 at the weekend, sale price. Use the old VHS180 for something else now... or rather wifey will bung it up with corrie and hospital programmes

yes mate I accept the bold bit. However, he may not. I also agree that a 4 year sentence when compared against certain other things is a joke. It just makes me despair that people can be so selfish and stupid to do things like that. Mad, quite mad. If a previous conviction is taken into account against someone, then I'm all in favour of that as well, as I simply cannot agree with the idea that previous offences should be hidden away..after all it all builds up a character profile and a threat assessment for the future. Anyway.....time for kip..... have a good un.......

stupid irresponsible fuckwit product of the "let em off lightly and try to understand them" school of thought generation not afraid of the consequences of his actions. He'll be out in a few months probably. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/4327130.stm

In the strictest sense of the expression, "world class" should mean getting into a world 11..or maybe a world 16 or even 20 now that football is more of a squad game. [although our very own fuckwit pretends he doesn't realise this to give his claim/excuse of "not playing his best 11" some sort of credibility, having taken over a SQUAD that was established champions league/UEFA Cup qualifiers.......] However, now I've made that undisputable point......... England have a pretty good bunch of players just now, the best for a long time. With a good manager, different approach and the one thing we always lack, a natural left sided attacking player, we would have a good chance of repeating Italy 90 and maybe bettering it. But under Eriksson, no chance. The real best players IMO are Robinson [easily one of the best keepers in the world], Gary Neville [great influence and pro], Terry [same as Neville], Cole, Beckham [best crosser in the world, and should stay wide right, in fact if he tells Sven he wants to play centre midfield Sven should tell him to piss off and stop being so stupid], and Rooney [new Gazza and like Gazza should become world number 1 but his character is flawed]. Other players like our own Micky O, Defoe, Carragher, Gerrard and Lampard are pretty damn good too. Rio Ferdinand is fast becoming a ponce of the highest order. Should be a good world cup, at least we will have a few games and will probably and hopefully reach our usual quarter final, until we are 2-1 down with half an hor left and genius Sven takes a forward off for another forward........or scores an early goal and proceeds to sit on it for 85 minutes ....
