Which is why anyone sensible looks at the performances of the team since he arrived. On that basis it's a no brainer that he should be sacked, but then he should have been sacked ages ago. The decision on whether this incompetent bully should be manager or not shouldn't rest on this game at all. For the long term good of the club, if a loss means the immediate sack for Souness, I'd take it and I've never felt this way in over 38 years supporting the club. Losing to the mackems turned the club around when Gullit was sacked and Robson came in. I'd take the same again right now, because with a 'proper' manager there's still time for us to finish in the top half, rather than the bottom 3. 48038 we had a discussion about this earlier in the week, called 7 days to go, I think
-
I would love to hit him in the face with a hammer. Harsh, but in fairness, true. 48031 To be fair I don't see anything harsh in that at all. 48039 in fact, a good idea all round. Make it 2 hammers, and a rusty shovel just for good measure
-
The only people who say he brandished the leg like a gun are the coppers who shot him. As they would. 47724 likewise if anyone he knew had been there, they would have said he wasn't. As they would. Are you really saying you think a copper would go and shoot someone for absolutley nothing ? {BTW, I knew you would be saying that, but just wondered if you would spell it out] The point is, no one else was there, there is only one witness. Tough shit.
-
what are you talking about
-
He stopped and turned round by the sounds of the article. 47682 funny, but I saw this bit. Wierd how you do gooders only see what you want.
-
It wouldn't techincally be suicide then though would it? The double bonus would be we'd get a new manager and Leazes would get locked up 47642 not very nice, in returning for educating you Poor old Graeme. In return for being one of the worst managers to ever manage an premiership club, he's made even more money than he did for being a great player. So he's suicidal. He should spare a thought for how he's left some of us after the vast majority of shit performances his team has churned out, not to mention kicking out of the club the one player who saw through him and had the courage to say what he is.
-
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3974461.stm now then. The same old story, if a copper asks you to stop, what would you do ?
-
Far from being one who wouldn't admit they are wrong if it did turn out they shot him at random for doing absolutely nothing ..... It's a bit of a strange slant on the story, to miss out all the backround to the incident, why is that I wonder, surely a man of Robs experience realises there is more to it than that !
-
There is bits missing here.... Not that I think Rob is deliberately doing it to suggest the police just pulled a gun out and shot him for no reason as he walked down the street, being one of those who thinks you can just do what you want like and balls to anyone else ....... .... until someone bothers him personally of course
-
Where does he want to be pushed from
-
Precisely! I wasn't questioning Robert's ability - we all know that on his day he's one of the best left wingers this club has ever seen. It's just you could never tell if it was going to be one of those days or if he was going to have a howler... 47222 All I want from a flair player is that they put in effort when they're having an off day. Robert was doing that in response to the bully's demands. He had one poor game after a string of good ones and the bully was immediately on his back again. These are the facts, you and others can rewrite it all you like, having been taken in by the Souness propaganda machine, but some of us are smart and can see through him. He wanted Robert to fail because he wanted him out of the club, so he deliberately pissed him off. Same as he wanted Bellamy out of the club. The man's ego is all that matters to him. Anyway, we have 'proper' players now having spent £50m, so everything's fine. 47375 agreed

To add to the post I made about Cry Before Dawn, does anyone have any CD's or music by Brendan Wade, who was the singer ?
-
Blimey...i told you twice it was a sarcastic reply to your presumed sarcastic post ! [ie i realise now you don't and it wasn't] Now I've explained to you my reasoning behind me not being entirely happy with our summer buys or how he spent his money
-
if he scored a goal he may shows us that t shirt again
-
would anyone survive a test in the smog zone ?
-
it was a sarcastic answer to what I thought was a sarcastic question/answer ! I've no beef with Shepherd at all, for backing his managers, he has always been top class in this respect, I've always said this, even before he splashed the 50m quid he's allowed Souness to spend on players. Fact is, Souness made the decision to sell or kick out 2 forwards. Souness then took the decision to buy 2 midfield players, and leave us a week before the transfer deadline in the serious position of only having one forward to go through until January. As if underselling players you want out isn't bad enough, we were now in a position whereby everyone knew we were desperate for forwards ? Whose fault was that ? The simple point is, you have to spend your money well, and like anything, you have to pay the right price. Spending 25m quid on 2 forwards ..... well as good as Owen is, I'm sure we could have bought another couple of forwards as good top cover, if we had played our own cards a bit better and exercised better judgement, don't you agree ? For instance, Phillips, Forssel, Cole as mentioned, for relatively small amounts. Oh, Andy Cole, nah Souness won't have him in his team will he. Deja Vue or what. Well, I answered your question. My last post was as I said, just pointing you back to the fact that you only answered the bit of mine that suited you most.
-
What leads you to jump (wrongly) to that conclusion? why did you leave out my own answer to your own sarcastic question ? this has been done to death, but for the record I don't care who takes fuckwits place, he's an incompetent buffoon who has destroyed the heart of the football club, and sold our best player for peanuts just because he correctly called him a "prick". Almost anyone within reason would do a better job than Souness, who is quite simply the joint biggest most despiseable tosser to have ever managed this club in the 42 years I've supported it, side by side with Bill McGarry. If fuckwit hadn't put us in the position of telling the whole world how desperate we were to buy players, and get rid of the ones who upset his poor little feelings, we may have got them for proper prices and had money left to buy other good players to raise the overall quality of the squad as a whole, like the one he took over, the one that qualified for europe 3 years on the trot and reached the 2nd phase of the Champions League.

Donna Summer, and aye, shit 46737 Hardly 'I Feel Love' like. Speaking of SAW shite, remember The Reynolds Girls with their classic 'I'd Rather Jack'? Christ on a bike! 46738 can't place that one but I'm sure you are right.
-
Donna Summer, and aye, shit
-
Would you rather have him or Ameobi on the pitch? Because that's the choice as soon as someone's injured. The fact we didn't make a move for Forssell at the money he went for (3m?) is a bloody joke. I understand he's an injury risk but he is top quality. 46553 Agreed, but is maybe a direct consequence of putting ourselves in a position whereby we pay over the odds for some of the players we have bought...hence having little money left [or a debt?] and hence also a self inflicted thin squad of players. Good management of money - not. I won't even go down the road, again, of selling players you shouldn't .. the whole place is a shambles ........

If you were manager, what would you have done?
LeazesMag replied to sammynb's topic in Newcastle Forum
fairly obvious to most I would say mate -
Well, as long as he isn't another Souness... Of course there is no guarantee that Hitzfeld wouldl succeed and it's far from certain that he will even come. Though, to compare someone who won the CL with two different teams and has been the most succesful manager in one of Europe's major leagues in the last decade with a Swiss nobody is plainly ridiculous. I also don't know what is presumptuous in saying that Souness will fail. That is an assessment by his work over the last twelve months in charge and a string of poor results and poor performances. But of course, it looks very likely that he will be succesful. Is this a flying pig I see outside my window? 46488 some people just won't admit they are wrong because they have been wearing rose tinted specs © 46535 My position hasn't changed - of the managers on Freddies shortlist (and not any mythical one) I still think Souness was the best choice. If that changes and he will entertain the idea of a Hitzfeld then thats fantastic. If his next list starts Shearer, goes through Allarydyce and Bruce to O'Leary then I will have a similar view - none of them appeal. 46539 We would be better off managerless than with this fuckwit. The negativity he has imposed on the players beggars belief!!!!! 46543 I'm sure I made a post a year ago on the other board [or one of them] saying that fuckwit would strangle the soul out of the players ...didn't take much of a crystal ball either

sorry but I didn't realise that Luque, Emre, Parker and Solano were strikers with a proven premiership goalscoring record availabe for 1 - 2 million quid. Or that Hameobi was doing such a good job that a 3rd striker wasn't necessary I bet you were one of those who said a year ago that Hameobi would replace Shearer weren't you ?
-
why indeed, good question. The answer IMO is that I for one would have sacked him ages ago, but others such as yourself take more persuading that he is the fuckwit some of us have been saying for months.......unfortunately only a defeat of the magnitude of this sunday will maybe convince you .. now that isn't OUR fault. So it isn't us who are turning up the pressure of our local derby, if we had a good manager and were winning games I would be looking forward to giving them a good thumping ..... on the way to greater success. At the end of the day, the mackems is a derby game and has extra spice, but I want to win EVERY game, which is why I want rid of Souness. 46468 What the hell are you on about? So because I don't want to love on Sunday I'm now a Souness lover am I? Give me strength! 46489 Crikey Sned I'm not trying to argue with you man.....nor did I say you are a Souness lover at all...I'm only giving my view on the question I clipped ... 46490 Fair enough mate. Just I don't need any convincing that Souness is an inept tactically flawed manager. 46498 aye OK and apologise if i got the wrong end of the stick too in the way it came across
