1. I have me doubts about Souness mesel, but I can't help thinking LM would go apopleptic if things worked out well for NUFC under him! 41387 define "well". Still waiting for anyone to take up the wager, will Souness match the top 4, champions league 2nd phase, or not ? I reckon the men in white coats should be chasing those who think he will
2. makes perfect sense to me ! Souness got rid of him for being a party goer and mixing with arseholes, right ? If it had had anything to do with football ability, he'd have kept him .....
3. Agree with this too. Those who complain about Shepherd being a shit chairman who runs the club like a corner shop .............
4. Well, if you insist.... 39063 Not saying he's good or owt, but the stick he takes is totally unnecessary at times. I didn't think it was a 'sitter'. 39071 I don't either, the pass slightly forced him to let it go across him and wide the angle
5. So should Liverpool have sacked Benitez last season after finishing fifth? 41124 Hmm, still qualified fot the Champions league though, didn't he? We could never dream of reaching the heights Liverpool have with Souness, who has almost no pedigree in Europe whatsoever. Surely even you can see this? 41139 Realised a long time ago it;s totally pointless answering this bloke mate
6. Agree, nice man I'm sure and condolences to his family but was the last in a long line of board members and chairmen who kept us down from where we should have been for over 30 years.
7. true enough....JJ and Jade Goodey. Can't blame Jade Goodey for taking the money and having her photo taken everywhere she goes can you
8. Leazes, I've got a bit of time for you mate but you're making yourself sound daft IMO. Jenas has done nowt wrong and even if he had he isn't at the club any more anyway. 41053 point is Alex, you are right he did nowt wrong, however he was a shit player, and I've nowt against selling shit players, but I do with shit managers who sell good players ..........
9. hmmm you are right, but why ignore the points I made. You're not another with rose tinted specs © are you, just because we have won 2 games, while playing shit ....... Are you also one of those who said that Jeanarse, Ameobi, Kluivert would be class ............ 41019 Broken record tbh. 41034 but - i was right ! When will Souness be binned ......... ?????????????? And - it's no more a broken record than the posts saying that Souness needs more time/backing etc etc, by people who can't make a judgement, once a shit manager always a shite manager
10. hmmm you are right, but why ignore the points I made. You're not another with rose tinted specs © are you, just because we have won 2 games, while playing shit ....... Are you also one of those who said that Jeanarse, Ameobi, Kluivert would be class ............
11. just think, as it isn't model professional [on this occasion] Dyer, Souness would have binned him, told the whole football world he was not wanted, and deluded himself he is a "winner" for winning an argument where he holds all the cards. [which consoles him for not winning prizes as a football manager - what would a psychologist make of that I wonder ] ... .....and we would have got about 2 or 3 million quid for him instead of 7. The fact that the hopeless spineless arse is only worth that at the most [as I said 2 years ago......] is irrelevant I'm sure you get the gist of the point ..........
12. I don't think there is anything wrong with aiming for a champions league every year, in fact for me that is the absolute minimum. And I think the 2 years that some say he should have [nowt personal Gemmil mate really just my view] is not acceptable, I don't think a club of our stature should hold these standards, they aren't good enough for Arsenal and Liverpool so they are not good enough for us either. I don't think there is any point whatsoever in Newcastle United having a manager who you feel isn't capable of this. My problem with Souness has always been, that even if he kept our good players, he wouldn't do the above ....the fact that he has peddled the one player he should have arguably kept above all others, at least in my opinion, means I totally despise the twat. [i also despise him, not just for being a shit manager, but a bully, thug, egofreak, for putting his own agenda before all of ours, the city and the football club we all support, in return for being highly paid by binning a player who he couldn't be bothered with, and the manner he set about it, totally dishonest and disgraceful.] But this was all predictable. Most of us predicted it !!! So why have you changed your minds [not you Alex, just a general comment] ? For me, if he isn't good enough, he isn't good enough and thats all you need to know .. out he goes.
13. everyone shows sense sometimes, even the biggest fuckwits ! Shouldn't have bought him in the first place ....... 40738 The Kluivert scenario would tend to suggest that 40740 I'm a little disappointed LM didn't pick up on the double meaning here tbh. And btw LM it was a joke ffs jw etc. 40821 course I picked up on it ....... Even when I'm in a good mood I still like calling Souness a fuckwit, because he is !
14. everyone shows sense sometimes, even the biggest fuckwits ! Shouldn't have bought him in the first place .......
15. Imagine Leazes in a pair of rose-tinted aviators, man. 40659 Imagine you EVER admitting you are wrong ............ about anything ! Actually, ref the post above, you were raving on about how fantastic Kluivert would be weren't you ?? And whats your excuse for last seasons fall from 5th to 14th ???? Where also is everyone who said Ameobi would be our next international flying centre forward that would score 20 goals ?????????????
16. I'm pretty sure that 3 or 4 months after signing Anelka, Souness would have alienated him and forced him to be sold for a giveaway fee, thinking he was a tough guy doing the right thing for the club. And those who supported the signing of Anelka at the time, would have also called him worse than shite and backed Souness for getting rid of a disruptive influence. While watching Souness's "dyer but model professional" © still at the club.... 40566 You got your hypothetical crystal ball lensed specs ® on again? 40570 but I'm right. And some things are quite easy to predict, providing you don't wear rose tinted specs © that is ! 40575 You think you're right, slight difference 40577 Does anyone really think a player like Anelka is suddenly going to become a model pro...I mean under an understanding and sympathetic, motivational "manager" like Souness ......... unless you wear rose tinted specs © 40580 Does anyone really think there is any point in talking about at what stage Souness would have fallen out with a player he didn't even sign? 40581 and if he does ? How many people were raving about Kluivert months before we got him......then turned out to be total tosser, exactly as I and one or two others who don't wear rose tinted specs © said. We are or have been linked with him, making it relevant, so IMO we should stay well clear. ESPECIALLY if fuckwit is manager

20. yep and nope Alex. I know he had faults, he was gobby. As a player he wasn't muscular and strong, but neither did Shearer have Bellamys pace ..... so he wasn't perfect either. I don't think they are one sided, I just see him as a player, and a top player who was hounded out of the club by a fuckwit of a manager who couldn't be bothered to manage him. Whats one-sided about that ? Have we replaced him for the fee we got for him ? Will we replace him for the fee we got for him ? Did we do better or worse without him ? Nowt else matters matey ! 39985 Fair enough mate. 40102 appeaser
21. I also think it's more than "merely coincidence" that Newcastle went from 13th, 11th, 11th, to 4th, 3rd & 5th with those two key, key figures in all 3 campaigns. 40064 no coincidence at all 40066 Lets see where we end up without them then yeah? After all if they're are the difference between success and failure, then by definition both Blackburn and Portsmouth should finish the season above us.... 40090 we were 14th 40091 So neither of them played, no?? And both of them had influences on results of Premiership matches involving teams other than Newcastle?? As I said, lets see where we end up without them.... 40093 still no takers on the bet for a champions league place under Souness this season .... that is your point isn't it ?? Matching what Robert [and Bellamy] propelled Newcastle to ..... Don't let a position outside the top 5 warp your [lower] expectations though
22. precisely. But some just won't put facts and results before personal prejudices
