Much like people thinking Farage and Johnson are "men of the people" .

Got around to watching the Independence day sequel. I really like the original - I know it's a bit shit and brainless but it's also a lot of fun. The sequel failed in the fun stakes though so was left just being shit. It also didn't have the best nerd moment in film history (aliens using tcp/ip) to save it.

Ben Goldacre reckons the key here is that there was a 16% swing in that group to Trump which was key - not the actual percentage.
-
Not sure what his actual policies will be but I have to say that we should remember that Reagan was a complete cunt and Bush senior wasn't much better. Younger Bush was probably a semi-decent bloke but he was surrounded by people who are probably more evil than Trump even dreams about. Just saying. I also think it serves the democratic party completely right for backing and sticking with someone so unlikeable they couldn't even beat Donald Trump.

302 - Florida is 273 - one more surprise switch and she's fucked.

Or Clinton for that matter.

I remember seeing a Daily Show where they showed an interview with Ed Harris where he said something like "My family never relied on welfare, all we had was food stamps" without a hint of self-awareness.

Funnily enough the last time I was in the NE I was talking to a couple of lads I know who'd started going to see West Allotment play when they couldn't get to our games and they said they'd been against N Shields and had seen some right heed the balls following them. I'd just put that down to it being North Shields than any Nufc connection though. -
20 fucking 16 and cunts are using "openly gay" as an insult. Jesus fucking wept.

Before banning the burka, I'd ban sharia "courts" and the equivalent Jewish ones for a start.
-
I didn't and don't like to see anyone getting banned but at the end he seemed to be adding in an extra helping of obnoxiousness with the intent of daring Ant to do it. For example he was getting really nasty with his personal attacks on Renton iirc.

Unfortunately I care about the neighbours' kids and cats.

I had my front garden gravelled last year but some stuff has grown on it and I can't be arsed to sort it out. The window cleaner mentioned he did shit like that as well so I asked him to do it.

Yay for unelected bodies.

Just got a text from my window cleaner about some weeding he's doing for me and it's the first time I've seen Pardew speak in written form - "I knew you was going away"

They also played a benefit match when our nascent club was struggling before the merger between East end and West end - I read about this on RTG of course. (See also "Ponteland airport" as another "Woolwich")- 1745 replies

It's been a downhill path in this country since the establishment meekly accepted the Muslim reaction to Rushdie. I'm a bit torn between telling people how to dress and standing up against the bastards but once you allow them an inch they'll take a mile - see that gymnast being banned for blasphemy as the latest example.

We had a load of people over from head office a few weeks ago and we sketched out a plan/design which is critical to the bank on half a dozen white boards. The project managers then published the official review of the plan and instead of translating it using proper ERM tools or Visio they'd just taken photos of the boards. Best session we had was the one with all the PM cunts out of the room.
-
I'm okay with Agile now as we use software to manage it but if we'd continued with post-its I think I'd have brought a flamethrower in and torched the board by now. Silicon Valley gets the developer personalities pretty well as well.

Much like methodism and the Mormons.

Outside of conscription, it's a choice to join up - it's the contractors on the death star analogy. I know when I've stated this view before others like Alex have mentioned that joining up can be not a completely free choice due to economic context which I fully accept but I still think the world war/other conflict difference can be used as a choice making factor. I also think it gets more politicised year by year. -
The classification of religion is down to adherent numbers rather than degrees of lunacy.

At a stretch some might have constituencies which have BAE jobs concerns - as if there aren't plenty other cunts to sell arms to.
