Catch 22 for me - the only life/illness cover I have is from work as paying for something twice seems daft but obviously no work means no cover. In my previous job one of the lads in my team was originally taken on as a contractor to cover a bloke with cancer but they made him permanent when the bloke died - he'd been on full pay for nearly three years before his death which is obviously a "good" benefit.

Judging by the West Wing, it takes stupidly complex rules about length of reply and follow-up questions to get them to behave remotely like adults. I use Plex for wireless viewing and listening around the house. It runs from my NAS boxes as a proper server with Android clients. However this thread and a client update prompted me to give it a go remotely which I knew it could do but hadn't deliberately setup. It works fine which is a bit worrying as it means it automatically configured my router/firewall which I don't like. I'll have to check it out when I get home.

Well I've liked dodgy seasons of other shows so it doesn't really bother me.

I've finally made a start on Dexter while I've been away and I'm well impressed. I know its highly rated but comments about the last season not withstanding, it's certainly living up to my expectations. I've also renewed my worship of the goddess Benz. Question is of course if you could get away with it as "easily" as he does would you be tempted and would you limit your victims to killers?

I'm in Ayia Napa at the moment (yeah fuck you too) and its a lot deader than I imagined (though as pleasantly warm) and its making me think of those sci-fi stories like The Stand where the vast majority of humans die leaving everything for the survivors. I can't believe how much I'm relishing the silence here and stories like that one above make me think - not for the first time tbh - how much a super-cull of humanity would be a good thing.
