  1. Maybe they've had a realism epiphany as probably both you and I think is sensible - I don't think that's unreasonable.
  2. Exactly - that was the implied excuse for the £20m crap and will be used for the length of his stay. At the end of his 5 year plan we might be "really" debt free but lucky to be in the premiership.
  3. I agree but part of the "spec" was the value of the stadium/stands which you could argue is property which would then beg the question of why should they be different to housing which has fallen? I also made the point on N-O that maybe buying the club for £134m with a serviceable debt would suit people who want to leave more for players.
  4. I think Diouff may be a Muslim as well so no doubt booing him because he's a despicable, cheating shit would be racist as well. I think Viduka's was fat greedy bastard (ironic as that's the only reason he signed for them) so obesist/capitalist/illigetimatist would obviously be okay.
  5. I think that was more to do with several media sources reporting on deadline day rather than the Milner sale itself. The media also said that Keegan handed Wise a list consisting of Ronaldinho, Lampard & Henry but that was a load of sh*te. An obvious smear, though I couldn't see anything wrong with going for Ronaldinho in the context of Man City supposedly going for him pre-takeover. I don't think the Keegan "feeding the press" angle works for the deadline day sale story though - Barton texting SSN seemed genuine at the time.
  6. I know it doesn't apply to us, but Pompey have now proved that once in a while "somebody else" can win it.

  8. I don't criticise them for the players they signed (though the deadline day ones look iffy), I criticise them for the one they didn't sign. I don't mean specific ones, just numbers as LM alludes to perfectly.
  9. I might go - its ages since I went to an FA cup game on 3rd round day - I think Yeading was the last one - and I was already looking forward to going to Hull in the league - I'd expect a good turnout.

Agree to a point but that little lay-off to Viduka nearly won us the game. I'd have taken Jonas off.

If the fuckers hadn't beaten us I reckon half of them would have topped themselves by now.

Going a bit too Allardyce for me - last week being an obvious exception I don't think a 0-0 at Boro is that great. Positives: defence and Viduka. Negatives: Lack of midfield creativity/ambition, another poor game for Jonas.
  13. It's not so much the Kinnear thing - (though I think only one good performance/result is that worthy of praise (Villa)) - its the fact it confirms the lack of sale and all that entails. Players will be sold in January, none will be bought and all those whose contracts are expiring will at best stay until may before leaving (as opposed to at least a chance of them staying with new owners).
  14. Combine that with sales in January replaced by shit loan signings and I fear for our status.
  15. I'm sure we've done this before but never mind - I'm a software developer in a German investment bank.
  16. In more positive times I can remember the game we won 1-0 at Arsenal at the end of 96-97 - obviously we had a good team but that game gave me hope that Dalglish's more "practical" tactics would bear fruit with Keegan's team and that day we didn't exactly play for a draw but you could say we played for a 1-0 once we scored - unforunately he decided to dismantle the team.
  17. At the match and same reaction - when you have a shit team sometimes a backs against the wall against a good team (or something like the infamous Derby game in 91) can be more enjoyable than a stroll. It's about everyone standing together raising massive V's to the world. As others have said, playing like that at Wigan etc (see Allardyce) is unacceptable.
  18. Of course, but theres no reason to distrust the man or to not take his side in any dispute - its obvious he always had and continues to have the best interests of the club at heart. [/N-O LickSpiittels]
  19. A lad at work has sold his house this week - he had to take about 20% less than he originally wanted due to market conditions. That's how the world is - the fat cunt should wake up sharpish and fuck off.
  20. Just got in - felt like a victory. We rode our luck and they had an off day but I still thought we battled well and deserved it. I think Chelsea have a team of good players (obviously) but they don't quite know how to dig something out when things aren't going their way. I'd still love to see somoene snap Joe Cheat's leg though. On individual performances everyone battled well but hats off the Enrique who did well after I slagged him off for the Fulham performance. One thing I will say is that its obvious looking at their fans that they have a lot of old school fans from the old days but at the same time they have an awful lot of football tourist cunts who have absolutely no clue how to support a team when they need it. This one was for you you fucking Lovejoyesque scum.
  21. So Stevie and LM do you honestly think it would be okay to use the N word if you were in a mixed group with black lads? Is that political correctness, being a fanny or just being a normal decent person?
  22. You just don't get it do you? Have people from Newcastle ever owned Mackems as slaves? Have they murdered them by the thousand? Have they stolen their land? Have they prevented them from working or travelling? Have they stopped them from marrying who they want? Equating foorball rivalry with racism is absolutely ridiculous to an incredible degree.
  23. Now I know the North East is generally pretty "white" apart from a few areas and is generally not like a lot of other urban areas in the UK but Essex outside the M25 makes the North East look like Leicester in immigration terms. The man is obviously blind.
  24. Not 4 times but 5.9% of UK citizens attend some kind of religious service more than once a month according to the last census. Do those "hardcore" believers have more say than they should for that percentage? - I think they do.
