  1. Tyler reckons Kinnear had said Enrique only had 45 mins it him which means picking him criminal. I've seen a procession of idiot managers bring hamstring victims back too soon and make them miss weeks as a result - queue another fucking idiot Also Duff is a fairy and I'm sadly being proved more right on Collocini with every game. Cracking cross by Geremi though and a great header - what's the betting Kinnear says Taylor can make it as a CF?
  2. I'm behind the team 100% but excuse me if I don't get enthused by the arrival of another cockney failure.
  3. There was a video about her church which was pulled by YouTube a couple of weeks ago which even with my contempt for religion I found scary. There theme song goes "There is nothing in this life for me" - its a rapture death cult and one of its members may be getting the codes. Edit: found it: Scary Video
  4. I've come to conclusion that all this "investing in the academy" is bollocks - by all means appoint a good coach but it's all down to luck - is there any team who've consistently produced top level players over a reasonable period? Man U had one fantastic batch (as West Ham possibly did) but virtually nothing since and have started to sign foreigners just like Arsenal and the rest.
  5. Never heard of the bloke but that's a plus point for starters.
  6. They don't write news - they write bullshit based "blogs" full of lies where they denigrate people from the NE and wish the worst on our club - the only "news" that appears in the media is the score.
  7. Part of me thinks he was right but I found it a bit too personal - as someone else said it was a chip on his shoulder from his previous life that he wanted to get out of the way. If that's all it is and any future outbursts are in defence of the club then I have no problem with him arguing with the idiots and expressing passion for the job.
  8. See again you're spinning the same PR bullshit the club churns out. Players have been trialled by the club but we all know Keegan wasn't the one making the decisions. Or do you have proof to the contrary? By the way you typing out more club propaganda doesn't constitute fact. So the club have players in on trial for the manager to look at but he has no say on whether the club signs him or not, that decision is down to the London mafia who were widely reported to not even be in the country at the time so couldn't have seen him train anyway. You couldn't make it up. What if Keegan did like Zayette and asked them to sign him and then they refused or failed for whatever reason? That constitutes "final say" in one sense but still leaves the player unsigned. Why would they refuse to sign a player on loan in a position we're short on that the manager is happy with? It's not as if he'd break the bank in wages as he's signed for Hull. It's just so obvious yet people are just desperate to defend Keegan of any wrong doing whatsoever. Maybe refuse was the wrong word - unless by then they had a deliberate agenda to piss him off which though I've never thought of it before, is possible. Maybe Hull did offer more money and the deal failed for "normal" reasons - if this is so then your agenda against Keegan is just as desperate.

  10. I have to say I feel the same way I did in January - my heart says yes but my head says it would be wrong. I can understand how any new owner would be almost "forced" to offer him the job but I'd want to here some pretty convincing arguments from the man himself as to why he can be fully trusted. Of course I think he was right to go (with some reservations) but still feel a bit let down in a way. Hypothetically I'd like to know how he feels about the new owners and how good their relationship is - no doubt that would be thrashed out as part of his return but I'd like to see a bit more evidence of commitment this time around.
  11. The 'second coming' was about 15 years ago. You know what I mean Aye, you meant the third coming. No I mean the second. The first being a young man from Nazareth about 2000 years ago. I though Yids didn't recognise that one.
  12. Why? It took it that he meant that's the only way the full truth will come out.
  13. It's rewind to last xmas - a few players out and those playing have no confidence whatsoever.
  14. Looks like Taylor at RB, Capapa at CB and Zog in the middle.
  15. I'm starting to think that Ashley knows that anything that he and his cronies say would be dismissed so he primed a new voice with BS to keep everyone happy. I think he's had decent offers but still wants his ludicrous profit so is biding his time - though fuck knows for what. If there was a tacit agreement to sell and he cared about the club he could now get rid of the mafia and get Keegan in - the long term doesn't matter in that scenario.
  16. Initially angry and numb at the same time. Admire his honesty and the stats/explanation from the scab when he went there gives me hope. Could work - more interested in what he had to say regarding sale progress.
  17. I've never liked the bloke but thought his statement made a lot of sense and I admire his stance.
  18. Despite being one of his staunchest defenders, I'd prefer to see a clean break. I think as has been said on N-O, no matter how "right" he was, there'd be too many people waiting for him to quit again - I think he's lost a bit of trust whatever the actual circumstances. Having said that, I can see how new owners would like to get the "everybody on your side" factor by trying for him. I would hope Kevin himself would have the "grace" to turn it down.
  19. He was a shining beacon in a very dark period (in his first year at least) - unfortunately for him Keegan signed and didn't really like him as he was a bit of the cliched "needs a few chances to score" kind in Keegan's eyes.
  20. Burn the heretic!!! (Unless he's another exception in which case I'll let you off) Should have Heard (Pat) and Stewart (Ian) if you want to up the shittiness.
  21. I had a persistent cough/bronchitis last month which meant "sleeping" in my armchair with the tv on all night and that meant I caught repeats of Weeds on Sky. You don't want to know how many people I would happily see killed for 5 minutes with Mary Louise Parker.
  22. Leaving aside the lies and distortions, I lean towards agreeing that a fresh start would be better with no baggage. However I think DK makes a good point about him being the best we could probaly get who actually would have backing.
  23. I keep thinking we'll be alright when the better players get back but as proved by last year, that means nothing without a manager who can pick the right team and inspire confidence. The current limbo has to end before we can judge.
  24. I hate to say it but I think the Mackems have the sort of setup I'd like - okay the backers aren't locals but they have a bridge to someone with the club's interests at heart with Quinn. The local consortium sounds good in principle but I think if it was feasible they'd probably just stretch to the asking price leaving nothing for large investment in players. I guess it is following stereotypes but I can't help being worried by the possibility of Nigerians. As I said before the Chinese one sounds okay in terms of any property development meaning a full scale investment in the club and city but again we don't know what plans they'd have for transfers. A lot of the Arab investors courted last week seemed to be strictly interested with a view to investing in the true sense of the word which is probably better from a business angle but again unsure about the football side. I agree with Isegrim that in many ways Ashley was ideal (though we would have liked more transfer funds) if he had been serious about being in for the long haul (which I now seriously doubt). So What we really need is an over-subscribed in terms of money allowing a major splurge, local consortium which would have links to the club, an inherent long term plan but probably not linked to Shepherd - not much to ask for surely.
