I decided against cancelling my trip to Australia despite it clashing with the testimonial. I forfeit my soopafan status as a result though, I see. I did still buy the ticket though if that counts for anything 111097 Australia with 3rd generation criminals or Alan Shearers testimonial? Not a hard choice mate!

All real supporters would be there. It should have been a 100% season ticket sell out.

The Sun: Owen will not play again this season
Ugly Mackems replied to Wullie's topic in Newcastle Forum
If he doesn't kick a ball for the Toon this season then the Club should tell him now there'll be no World Cup. If he agitates the injury in Germany it might well, with Owens recovery rate, see him out injured for the first month or two of next season. The Club must be firm on this issue. -
No mate, big difference, the new shirt is White and Black striped.

6 points and a Semi final date. You?
-
4 straight defeats. Not good enough. 9 conceded - 2 scored.
-
Obsessed!
-
I hope they never come back up. Bollocks to all the 'local derby' crap - I much prefer them to be in a division below us.
-
Buy 2 singles in the same area and offer someone next to you £25/£50 to 'swap' seats. £51 minimum saved already. just bought 5 tickets online (singles) 4 in east stand and 1 in 1892 club.

Shows no gratitude at all towards those who risked their own safety to sucure his own safety. The two Canadians rescued with him are totally not interested in helping the rescuers with details of their ordeal that could give information that may lead to the capture of the hostage takers. Cunts! Send them back to almost certain death.

Aye, but the cunt has seen us win the League and the Cup.

He had his fingers crossed though ....

......with what is best for NUFC, you could be right you know.

http://football.guardian.co.uk/Columnists/....html?gusrc=rss A couple of years ago I bumped into Craig Bellamy at Sunderland dog track and we had a good chat about how things were developing at St James.' Bellamy was in fine form then and it felt as if Newcastle and Shearer had at last found a partner of mutual benefit. Bellamy will be back in the north-east tomorrow, at Sunderland, but it will be with Blackburn Rovers. The Welshman is no saint but his messy departure from Newcastle was another example of how the mismanagement of the club betrayed Shearer. With Bellamy went Shearer's last chance of a trophy . I think Shearer played his part in the departure but the sentiments regarding mismanagement and any real chance of a trophy are correct in my opinion.
-
I'd hate to be misunderstood. I think Shearer has been a MAGnificent player for NUFC. (I couldn't though give a shit for his England exploits.) I do though think that most definitely this season and probably last were 2 seasons he has overstayed his USEFULNESS if not his welcome. Gullit wanting to bin him I would agree was premature, but it was also the first sign of who was actually ruling the roost. SBR wanting to move him on was in my opinion 100% correct. I personally think a lot of folk are frightened of a future without him - but we haven't really had him for the last 2 seasons if truth be known. What makes it galling for me is his open support of a manager who has taken the Club back 5/10 years. Bellamy though will be / and is a bigger loss to the Club than either Souness or Shearer - FACT (whether you like it or not!) (not an effort at reopening old Bellamy / Shearer debate by the way - just a point of showing how this Club is mismanaged from top to bottom. Perhaps the only functioning part of the Club sees Roeders young team hopefully tonking Citehs young 'uns to reach the youth cup final tonight - the rest of the club is a shambles)
-
That maybe so - lets hope the new manager can do his job without a monkey on his back and can bring enough relevant success to render the need for Shearer to be in the very distant future - if ever at all.
-
No need to try and kid my fellow Toon supporters who hold me in the highest respect.
-
Without the dinosaur ruling the roost - can't wait.
-
He shouldn't even be at NUFC. His contribution to the last 3 games has been abysmal. There is no room in football for sentiment. When sentiment rears its ugly head then that is the day you go backwards. 2 of the last 3 managers saw the future of NUFC as being without Alan Shearer - only the most complete incompetant to ever manage NUFC in my time of supporting them was prepared to offer him an extension. NUFC will have little or no chance of improving as ong as the shadow of Shearer looms over the Club. And I will never feel sorry for a player who has lifted over *£20m in wages in his time at the Club. Perhaps that is where NUFC go wrong! *conservative estimate!

How do you know that he has been offered the job? 109394 How did I know SBR had been sacked an hour before the news broke? How did I break the news that Owen had signed for the Toon - and post it on 'online' 10/15 mins before SSN broke the news? How did I know 'Emre has landed' hours before the official site exclusivily announced it? How did I tell everyone on 'online' that Taylor was injured 12 hrs before it became common knowledge?
-
Is this a hoax?
-
Should be put to bed - O'Neill HAS been offered the job. It's up to himself now as to whether he accepts or declines Freds invitation.
-
Peasepud doesn't even go to games either - which makes the 'joke' all the funnier I suppose!
