1. Two games on and we're predicting that this will be the beginning of the end of our season if this PRAT remains as the NUFC manager. A home game against a 10 man team who has just been promoted, and a defender is named as man of the match, (with 10 mins to go) FFSSSSAKE!!!!!!
2. TBH the only problem is SOURNESS, but let us all remember who put him there, the Fat Controller of course.
3. Good point Papa, just to add our full backs need to be more consistent, I am no fan of Babyaro but he was a little better than average yesterday. Truth is he has to be much better, and not just now and again. Carr is not that good but at least he is a tryer and TBH this can be worked on, but as for Babyaro he's just a lazy shit.
4. Who would want to play for a lying, bullying manager who has little or no knowledge of the modern game. The fat controller would not bother me providing the manager was the interface and did his job well.
5. West Ham are not a good side and we should be shot for such an inept performance. As for Sourness saying he is not worried, then I suggest he is a bigger idiot than I first thought. Sourness, you should be worried, with your crap managerial skills we are now facing a TFD, get real, we are not just a couple of top strikers away from brilliance or even safety we are a million miles away under your guidance. We could'nt even crack open a newly promoted (thay finished 6th last season and through the playoffs were promoted) team playing with ten men. FFS get real, relegation seems to me to be obvious under the current regime. The morale at the club will be on the decline and just watch how quickly even the new boys fall into the doom and gloom. We need to act now before it's too late, we are simply continuing the trend from last season, downwards and see how low we can go.
6. How many threads on Luque? Stand by what I said before, I honestly believe he'll be on board in time for Wednesday.
7. I enjoyed the day out and the craic before and after the match- more than a few beers helps the medicine go down. The period in between masquerading as a football team - total shite - best realise guys this is the best we can expect under Sourness.
8. 1. Taylor - Solid and getting better 2. Boumsong - Honest performance 3. Parker - Still not fit but gave as much as possible, only hope he does not give up.
9. Correct, let's all be honest, there are a lot worse out there and IMHO the real thing that has pissed me off most in the past 12 months is the appointment of the arse of a manager, SOURNESS. For that alone the Fat Controller has launched us into a TFD. No one can argue that the Fat Controllers misguided support for his manager, to the hilt and more. As LM says if he had got the right manager in place and won things we would not give 2Fs for what the Fat Controller was up to.
10. Spot on Papa, 100%. I only wish we had a few more proper players like him.
11. This lad is 100% a proper player and has a promising future if he can stay out of trouble both on and off the pitch. JJ should take note of this lad, watch and learn.
12. At least he'll be signed in time for the mid-week match with Bolton.
13. Massive bollock, young, ambitious, gets head down and gets on with what he's paid to do. There again more than likely does'nt fall into the Sourness proper player category. Ambrose will only get better away from Sourness and his Cronies masquerading as coaches.
14. During the Gordon Lee time at Newcastle (75-77) the fans were split. mainly because we had been brought up on the No 9 shirt and what it meant for the player and fans alike, but Gordon Lee had other ideas. He will always be remembered by the fans as the manager who sold Supermac, he should be remembered for reaching a top 6 finish and league cup final. Supermac was an instant success on Tyneside and hit the headlines for all the right reasons, he arrived in style and played with a style that scored goals. In 1974 when Newcastle were thrashed at Wembley. The so-called stars thought all they had to do was turn up and win at Wembley and they believed it was our right to win, but without the effort, and we were rightly trounced. Gordon Lee did not want an individual star on tyneside, he wanted a team of stars and whilst that probably infuriated one or two of the players the majority were happy to feel part of the team and IMO boosted their morale and team spirit was at an all time high. We finished 5th for Godsakes and were unlucky to lose at Wembly. Yet again the fans were not satisfied, the style of football being played and the ultimate sacrifice of Supermac being sold to ARSE nal for 350K in the August 0f 1976 brought about an uneasy feeling between player and manager, fans and manager, fans and the board and finally between manager and the board. The obvious outcome was that GL departed Tyneside and we were left with Richard Dinnis. TFD. Apart from KK and SBR Gordon Lee is the only manager in the last 50 years to bring us within a top 6 finish, now that can't be bad. Each of these managers had style, class and oozed confidence and generally you believed in their ability to achieve. They all had success written across their CV. They were not bullies, they were strong managers that knew their stuff. They were tacticians and knew the style of play required for each game. Theywere eagre to promote team spirit that allowed the players to play as a team and the players wanted to be part of that team. Gordon Lees ideas were certainly challenged at the time and I for one was not totally happy, but the results were measured rather quickly. Gordon Lee was only at Newcastle for a couple of years but his record speaks volumes. Please don't come back with two semi-finals just look at where we finished after a team demolishing exercise, don't compare Sourness to Lee, there can be no comparison, Sourness is shite, where did we finish last season, who have we sold since he arrived and take a hard look at who he has bought. Apart from two or maybe three players he has wasted most of the transfer spend and even worse let a number of players go on the cheap. Gordon Lee and Sourness - don't even compare.
15. Just like our current waste of space Sourness, totally mismanaging the sale of players for peanuts.
16. This is my worry when I've mentioned the possibility of relegation. We'll probably look neat and tidy, and pretty solid and all that, but there aren't enough goals in the team. We'll draw too many matches with a team like the one Souness put out today. A draw was all he hoped for today, that was obvious because he could have easily gone 4-4-2 with Dyer up front offering a threat behind their defence. 12140 Its why we have to sign more attackers and goal scorers, or better still not have got rid of the ones we had AND sign more! Its obvious that Parker and Emre will improve the midfield alot and that we can be quite solid and retain possession better, but we have to create more chances and get goals to win matches. Be interesting to see the formation and tactics at home to a team like West Ham 12152 A load of middle and nowt up front with little to offer in defence, it was only a matter of time before we cracked, we tried hard but TBH we were inadequate, basically CRAP. No alternative, we were never going to score, not even a threat.
17. His weight in Gold, he's proved he can score goals, bust the bank and get some hype going again, gotta be good for the Toon.
18. It should touch a few nerves, and we all wait to be amazed at the new players about to join NUFC. Mr Fat Controller and waste of space Sourness there is a saying " if you can't shit.... get off the pot"
19. The guy's a total arsehole, just like his bumchum Sourness.
20. I'll be very concerned because the Fat Controller will not have a backup plan, but I'd still be delighted, coz no manager, is no worse than Sourness as manager.
21. Keegan player and manager a failure........................NEVER. No one at NUFC has matched it so far and this idiot has not got a prayer of coming anywhere close. How things have changed, we are now optimistic about mediochrity. We are heading whirlwind into a TFD. FFS man you are right we need to concentrate on the here and now, has anyone told Sourness of this little plan?
22. >>> sigh <<<< 9483 Bigger SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. ------------------NO. That may have been one of his many tasks but that is not the only thing on his Job Description. He was brought in to manage a football club, not demolish it. Crawford which planet are you on? just take a look at Sourness' managerial track record, and apart from his spell in Turkey, he has fallen out with players and got shot of 'em in almost every club. How many days until the start of the season? Shearer is doubtful and Ameobi is banned, do we have a forward to chose from? The simple answer is we have one in the name of Rocky Chopra with a few hopefuls in Dyer and Milner. Now I ask you Crawford, who put himself in that position? A bad manager that is who, he has left himself and the club wide open to problems. Now tell me again why he should be given a chance, just on the back of 2 maybe 3 good signings, is that all we need. How many more will want to be away and how difficult do you think it is to sign players for NUFC?
23. I would not mind at all, as long as the money gained from the sale was available to strengthen the squad. My only other wish would be that we had someone sensible spending the money.
