  1. Owen was my MoM for me yesterday, Zoggy would be close second, the rest could not be rated at all.
  2. He's certainly having the last laugh! Gonna be watching some even more crazy football soon!
  3. Could the potential new owners negotiate this when striking a deal to buy NUFC, part of the due dilligence stuff ----- and get these 3 arseholes off the books.
  4. IMO can't see either happening at the moment, El Tel wants extended contract and NUFC are offering match by match - stalemate. IMO the nigerians stuff is a story too far, really big con!
  5. What really pisses me off is what is not going on, on the pitch. We were shite last night. These guys earn in a month more than most of us earn in a year. They are really well paid for doing very little and all we expect in return is a good performance and a desire to win from every player that puts on a B&W shirt. Now tell me that is the case, I am sure as hell don't see it, they get upset at what is going on at the club etc. Get real fellas, get motivated and earn your crust. Overpaid bunch of t#*ts that really don't give a shit. In my job if something upsets me or there is something going on that causes me to feel pissed off I have to get on with it, and make sure that I earn a crust. I have to work as part of a team and I don't want to let my colleagues down by putting in a poor performance. The more we work together the more profitable we are. That surely is the hub of the problem at NUFC, No Team Work - from the top of the club to the bottom, and when the going got tough they all bailed out. How many players will bail in January - even with new owners?
  6. Would not normally go to this type of match, especially when on telly, so I guess I'm not really boycotting.
  7. http://www.craigmcateer.pwp.blueyonder.co....e%20adenuga.htm Can this be one of the rich list Nigerians prepared to invest in NUFC? Search Google for Mike Adenuga and take a look at what comes back!
  8. Broke the jaw of a team-mate I think (as a player), don't think he ever managed them though.
  9. http://www.whitehartpain.com/2008/09/wise-...we-lose-to.html Get the prayer mats out guys!
  10. Four ST holders in our family and all four are boycotting on Saturday. It's not about the money from our point of view, although it hurts, we want the image of at least an emptier stadium to be publicised, add all the demos and other forms of boycott it just might have an impact. I agree the Spurs match will be the real test but just let's see how many fans do mean what they say. Maybe it will all fade away and there will be no real boycott etc and we will hit the press for the wrong reasons yet again. Lots of shouting about nowt and no real action by the NUFC supporters.
  11. At least, as long as it takes, I hate the MAN!
  12. I think that this article is spot on, me, my son, and brother-in-law have ST and all paid up for the next 3 seasons. We decided to boycott when all this blew up. I've posted regularly on other MB and I do not intend to change my view. An emptier than normal stadium should send MA the real message and it will be newsworthy material. A near to normal stadium will send a message back through the media and we will be branded as nothing more than a bunch of fickle fans that just accepts anything that is served up.
  13. I can't say I'm surprised that you - or one of a few other miserable shites - have turned a great boost and statement about the club and the area into a huge negative. Agreed, at the end of the day, these statements can only help. I do not necessarily believe that every word is from the heart. I do, however think hes genuine in his fondness for the area, the place, people and club, whether he would be pulling any "clauses" in his contract should the likes of Liverpool come steaming in for him time will tell. Agree with Leazes and Peasepud but we've reached the stage now where anything Owen says or does will be met with criticism by the sort of fans who seem to revel in being miserable, pesimistic and having nothing but contempt for anything or anyone related to NUFC. I am far from optimistic myself about NUFC at the moment but it doesn't mean i'll whinge and moan about anything that said or done, especially when its something like Owen saying he wants to stay and that he and his family enjoy living here. Well said that man ! OK LM, I'm with you on this one, Owen is out for a while and we just have to live with it. Whatever the case I just look forward to the guy repaying some of his £100k+ per week wage packet by turning up and turning on a few decent performances in a B&W shirt. So what if no-one else wants the expensive mercenery bar steward, when he's fit and knocking in those goals, we'll ask what this was all about. We geordies are craving for a little bit of success and I'm less than optimistic but I will continue to support the TOON whatever. We've put up with DYER-GATE for so long???
  14. Here we go, a few games into a new season and it's oh so predictable. O can't disagree with any of the comments, but cast your mind back to the McFool school of football management and roll on the years till now....IF YOU DO WHAT YOU ALWAYS DID, YOU'LL GET WHAT YOU ALWAYS GOT....NOWT!!!! PM and LM I agree with you both........we are once again going over all the same things, just another name in the frame. The common denominator this time, Freddie. LM, sorry mate I'm losing the faith with such a wonderful chairman.
  15. WTF is this all about, this is my first time back since Souness was sacked. Here we go again with what will be a TFD. The fat controller believes we are amongst the top ten clubs in Europe, what a joke, would Barca, Chelsea, Man U etc apoint Roeder as their manager. Not bloody likely, so mr Fat Controller how come you think we are in this elite group. Bad choice Mr Shepherd especially after all the scouring and names that we would not believe that have applied for the job. I await the appointment with interest.
  16. He was total crap yesterday, but to be fair, don't single him out, you could another 9 and say they were shite. The only one who would get mt vote is Given but again TBH he only had one thing to do all afternoon and was voted MOM. Says it all for me.........souness must go, no matter the cost, worth it in the long run.
  17. Glad to see you're not bitter Jackie. To be honest though, Shearer has reminded me of a formula one car running out of gas, slowly rolling to a halt. He's currently on the finish line, will he inch over it? Well done anyway Mr Shearer! 76170[/snapback] I fear you're right, just about out of gas, but I guess he'll beat it, might not be a mile, but enough. The Toon needs more legends than the odd one or two.
  18. Whilst we seem to bleat on about all the negatives at NUFC, let's all just congratulate Alan Shearer for equalling the club record of Wor Jackies goals tally for the club. May not have been the best match to equal the record, but who cares, well done and a big thanks from me for the wonderful service and entertainment value given to this club over the years.
  19. crowd of 41459 watching crap, see bellars managed 2 goals, but he's not a proper player.
  20. There is a no better supporter over the 90 minutes than Souness
