It's my day off. I woke this morning because someone was at the door. Assuming it was valentine's-related, I got up ultra-quickly, threw some clothes on and ran downstairs. It was a pair of fucking Jehovah's Witnesses.

I returned upstairs with the post in my hand; a large mobile phone bill.

Having digested all of this, I checked my phone, which had been on silent since I was asleep. I had a voicemail, which I checked. It was someone from the alarm company. I had a missed call from my boss, too.

I calld up to see what was up, and whichever fucktard was last out before me last night hadn't shut the back door hard enough. (I have to go out of the front door to set the alarm.) To compound matters, the guy supposed to be in charge since it was my manager and I's days off, decided to turn up far too late, and so subsequently the fucking IDIOT security guard who is already in my bad books decided to lever the back door open, thereby setting the alarm off, thereby landing me in what will no doubt be a whole world of trouble when I go back on Friday.

Additionally, the flowers I ordered for Lauren were delivered yesterday because they were worried about winter storms in the area.

while I sympathise, there are some basic protocols not followed here:

1) the alarm setter is soley responsible for ensuring the status of all doors and windows

2) the manager and deputy manager should not be off at the same time

3) persons employed to be guards should not be patent idiots

4) valentines flowers should always be delivered in person

2) It was another member of management who was late today.

3) I didn't employ him and would rather we never had.

4) It's hard for me to get to New Jersey at short notice.

She loved the mixed 'CD' I made & loved the fact I bought her the new Keane album to which 'I' bought tickets off e-bay to go and see them on the 6th March for us too. (Never really liked their old stuff, but think the new album is quite good and uplifting, tbh...!)

She also loved the dozen red roses that I sent to her work this morning as you can see below!

And she loved the meal I treat her to tonight :D

He's in Serbia, I'm in Lewisham.

He texted me earlier to say "You go the shop and buy some chocolate, I'll do the same. Then we'll go on MSN later and eat it while playing Minesweeper."

Now that's what I call practical romance. :D
