Personally I always had faith in his ability to score goals (he's exceeding my expecations of how involved he is in games in his new deeper role too) and none of the other shit really bothered me. I don't believe he is any different to the rest of them in that if we were relegated he would be off like a shot. It's just that with him being amongst Englands most important international players he gets more press than the rest. He looks happy now under Keegan (as do the rest of the team) and he's proving how good he still is, hopefully he'll sign a new (no doubt obscene) contract once we are certain to stay up and we can concentrate on building a team that can provide him with plenty of chances.
