Just watched this again but this time with the wife and 9 year old. Desperately hiding back the tears.

Can't believe this is not thee topic today.

Thinking of doing a musical father of the bride speech when the daughters tie the knot.

You won't be able to top this CT ;)

Started House of cards again. (On prep for season two). God how deliciously black / naughty this is!

If I could go back and choose any path of life it would be Frank, or maybe Toby.

Just shows how shallow most of our working lives are to the real fun and games.

I think you'll find it's probably fairly tame compared to the real thing. The skulduggery and back stabbing that goes on just to get a £12,000 on the local council gives you an insight into how dirty it gets further up the ladder.

Remember as well, house of cards was written by a Tory MP.

Why would a writer make his show more mundane than reality?

Just finished watching two whodunnit style short series.

Broadchurch - Rubbish ending, just one of those shows where they tried to shoehorn in the murderers motivation in the last episode with no relevance to the rest of the show.

True Detective - There was so much good about this series but the resolution of who was actually behind the murders was a bit too rushed for my liking, they maybe could have stretched it out over a couple of episodes but the show wasn't necessarily all about who the murderer was.

There's a second series of Broadchurch apparently.

Well sometimes you have the likes of this...

And so far in the HOC's we've had junky politicians, politicians shagging around and a insatiable thirst for power. All probably daily routines in Westminster long before we get in intrigues like Dr David Kelly or other dark secrets that have gone on down the years.

I think these sort of things are ok as long as the long ride more than makes up for the 5 minute tidy up at the end. I enjoyed most of broadchurch.

I find this seasons Endeavour pretty similar.

Just started True Detective last night. I thought the pilot was solid without being as gripping as I expected (possibly a tad overhyped by some) but it was enough to keep me interested and I've heard it develops really well so I'll keep watching.

Also currently watching:

W1A - better than I expected in a cringeworthy way

Rev - easy enough to watch

Bates Motel - enjoyed the first series so looking forward to getting through the second

Masterchef - standard baldness, shouting and food porn

Masterchef New Zealand - decent series and the judges seem less annoying this time round

Elementary - I like it but sometimes the individual episode storylines are a bit boring

Modern Family - the latest series showing over here has had some brilliant episodes

I think that's all..
