Yeah, smashed a 25 yarder just wide and set SWP clean through.

Hoofing it up to Heskey and hoping he can flick it on the general direction of Rooney isnt really playing to his strengths though.

thought he was supposed to our star goal scorer, not a stand-in for Stevie G TBH :D:icon_lol:

Even the FA reckon that game doesn't count...................... I'm sure he's scored a load in practice 'naall but that doesn't change the facts that in competition he's off the pace right now

I wish I could be happy to be proved right but that was truly a dire performance last night

Rooney looked totally knackered - too many games IMHO

He does have piggy eyes tbf :icon_lol:

The fact that Taggart rushed him back from that injury to try and keep the Mancs in with a shout of winning the Prem probably hasn't helped him, no wonder his hairline seems to recede every other game.

He looks unfit to me.

Apparently some journo on twitter (that has inside info) said he struggled last night because he coulldnt see the ball in the floodlights.

Probably the most ridiculous excuse ever tbh

He's a cheeky little twat crying about being booed. He should be grateful that he isn't still getting booed for costing us the last world cup

think it was just a heat of the moment thing out of sheer frustration, too much been made out of it imo

No excuse for it, he's out there representing his country in front of the world, he should have the temperament to control himself and stop himself from having a petulant little outburst

He just doesn't look interested. Isn't going in for the balls like he used to, and he just waits for them to come to him. Cappello should make a bold move and start Defoe in his place next game.

Unlike Beckham he got away with it solely because Ronaldo did the wink and gave eveyone a different hate figure to focus on instead, it saved Rooney from a load of stick.

So far its not just that his play and particularly his control have been shit its that he is barely trying and looks like he couldn't give a shit which is the oppositte of how he usually is.
