How tall are you and what weight are you, Sugartits?

it's no different to talking about weight loss, which is what most people in this thread are banging on about. body fat is just a more accurate way of measuring increase in fitness and fat loss.

the whole thread is gay tbh. but then most men today would be accused of being gay by their counterparts from a decade ago. lbt just took it to new levels of gayness by posting the torso of the week snap.

but i bet the majority on here use face cream, moisturiser or trim body hair, even if they're too scared to admit it.

I'll confess to using face cream like. And I always have a chap stick handy.

I don't trim anything though.

I won't be posting pictures up on here either. It wouldn't be fair on everyone else if I revealed the madness that is my upper torso.

Are there actually women out there who find 'men' obsessing over their bodies attractive? I mean body fat percentages? Fucking hell.

Personally it's one of the first questions I ask a bloke. Anything over 10% and they can do one!

Honestly man, that's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. I dread to think what kind of women he's been trying to impress.

11-12 is what most girls would prefer I think, thats abs showing. Not bad mate. Im at around 11% myself, would like 9-10 but thats too much effort, cant be arsed.

Being aware of your body fat percentage is obsessing :unsure2: Its just part of working out really.

I do all of them. If it's a very special occasion I might even brush my hair.

I've never owned straighteners though, which I'm guessing can't be said for some of the Adonises on here

No you burn fat too, but you are right most of it is water. But people who are a bit overweight have alot of water in their bodies tied up in the fat. When you diet, alot of what you lose is water too, along with, uhm whats the english term... - binding tissue? - as well as muscle ( you lose muscle too dieting no matter what, since the body always prefer fat to muscle. Its genetically engineered to stay alive, not make you look good on a beach)

Check out the wiki page for the sauna world championships btw. People have died at it.

Starting temperature is 110 celsius and half a litre of water is added every 30 seconds.

They stopped doing it in 2010 after a death and near death.

LBT - do you genuinely believe that women are concerned with what percentage of body fat a man has? I'm intrigued.

it's really just a way of measuring how lean or fat you look.

would you not prefer a lad with a flat stomach to love handles and man boobs?

measuring body fat percentage is just a more accurate way of measuring fat loss than looking at the scales.

and reading back through this thread, most who've posted are obsessed to some level about their shape of their body.

women have always cared about the way their bodies look, judging by this thread, most men care these days too.

There's nothing wrong with men caring about the way they look, but I just thought it was a very odd statement to say that women prefer men with a body fat percentage of less than 10%. It was just very specific! I've never had a chat with any of my friends about men's body fat percentage

And for the record, I'd much prefer a bloke who was carrying a bit more weight but was kind, funny and fun to be around than a buff knobhead!

I think from a health POV, having an awareness of your body fat percentage is a good thing. When you see these exhibits where they've chopped a porker in half and their organs are surrounded by fat, its something that people don't twig to - if you're fat on the surface, there's a lot more damaging shit going on inside, and you should be wise to it.

I think you can have a healthy appreciation of it without it becoming an unhealthy obsession.

I like chocolate and takeaways too much to really worry about it. I'll never be low teens or troubling single figures. I'm back to running 4 times a week now to shift some weight, and just so that I can get back to where i don't have to worry about what I eat. That's the goal for me - exercise enough so that you can easy what you like, when you like. Still got some timber to shift first though, so eating sensibly for the time being.

tbh, lads that obsess too much about their bodies usually do so to hide a lack of personality.

there's a group of lads i see down the gym quite often, all built like the lads off geordie shore, all thick as two short planks with the worst craic i've ever heard.
