IF this turned out to be true, it would seem to suggest a deal being closer than anyone assumes. normally I would have to say no one is this fucking dim, but I can't rule anything out with ashley at this point. They obviously know how much we already hate them so another protest is water off a ducks back. The must think know matter how much they mis-treat the fans they are still going to get a good crowd. TV is the main source of income and even a big drop in the gate down to 30,000 or so would just see sections of the ground closed down and staff in those areas sacked. Out of spite he would probably close the gallowgate. Until someone with more money than sense comes in or Ashleys ticker gives up, he wont be going anywhere. You simply cant hurt him in the pocket.
