There was a huge Boom at about 12.30 and we looked outside and the sky was full of thick smoke. It was mainly blowing away from us, but it did hit the Shields Rd area in waves. It'd be fine then very hazy with acrid fumes then it would clear up and then come back. We had windows and doors shut but when the smoke was about it still got in and it wasn't pleasant.
