Well I think it's ridiculous to charge him for something that could well have been accidental. I don't know how you can prove he meant to do it, because in real time it doesn't look deliberate at all to me. It's possible it was, but you can't ban him for doing something possibly deliberate. Unless he admits it then they shouldn't be charging him.

Just watched it again on the news, and how anyone can say its not deliberate is beyond me. The natural movement in that position is to continue to bring his right foot forward, in line with his momentum - if you're falling forward, do you kick your foot backwards for stability, or bring it ahead of you to stop you from falling forwards? He kicks backwards, in a completely unnatural movement designed to injure his opponent.

 

If his studs had caught Parker's face it would have made a right fucking mess of it. Anyone who wants to dislike the bloke now has a fucking good reason.

I think they will appeal. No more deliberate than the Rooney kick which got reduced.
