Ran past a geezer and his two dogs. Dunno what breed, they were grey, mid-sized. One of them jumped up and bit me in my left hand. Bleeding but I don't think it's bad. Hand's a bit swollen though. Make sure you get it disinfected. I've talked to a nurse, she advised me to have it checked out. She said I might need a tetanus shot. I doubt it though. Not worth risking for a mangy hand mate, it'll only take five minutes or at least get some TCP on it. Dogs are canny rank creatures for hygiene! He was one of a group playing American Football though so it was fair enough. He wasn't best pleased. He made a show of washing his bag in the sea. Aye, that'll get it clean. What's the occasion? 3 mates all turn 30 within the space of 2 weeks. One of the lads suggested it and about 20 or so have confirmed so far. Only 3 nights there as we'll be leaving 2 small kids at home with the granny. New York New York (****) is $280 all in for the pair of us for 3 nights. After that, it varies. The 1st time I went was with a bunch of students. We all stayed in the MGM Casino, 5 in a room to save on costs. We ate in fast food spots and didn't go to shows or anything. When we were gambling, we stayed at $5 blackjack, and miraculously, all won small amounts each night. Once you're constantly gambling away and tipping the waitresses, they'll keep bringing you whatever drink you like. There's also all-you-can-eat buffets in each casino for about $25 and the quality is supposedly great. This time I'm going with the missus, so we'll go somewhere nice for dinners and try and get a show in. Possibly hit the outlet stores one day too. It will be absolute carnage though. If there's a big group going you may be able to get a discount - Whoever organised it for our lot managed to sort us a good deal. The Boardroom was booked out for it but I was the only one who could attend this session so had the room to myself with feet up and a DVD to work through at a leisurely pace. Great to see the council using alternative energy sources... really bad part is that they are using it to power "communal areas" i.e. corridors etc and aren't letting the residents (who are clearly low income and deprived) benefit one bit from it!!! Instead they still have to pay extortionate gas/electricty prices depsite having Solar Panels on their roof! Just doesn't seem right that to me. Not Opus Green's doing I'd like to add, their supplying and installation of altternative energy sources is a very worthwhile thing... this is a council decision and one I think should be reviewed!
