Hearing a Geordie accent on TV in those days was pretty rare so I obviously enjoyed watching them.

 

(Can you imagine being a Mackem or a Smoggie? It's as if they don't exist nationally.)

He got cancer the same week me dad found out he got it. They both had bowel cancer so it feels even more poignant for me, me dads is completely gone now, shame Sid hadn't have defeated it too. :( He's honestly gonna be a massive miss for darts fans, he was different class.

Didnt know Sid had a hand in that...I knew Tony Manual though, he played the lead part, and was the "canny bag o Tudor" lad, he used to work at the same place as my sister.

Oh I dont think Sid was involved, was just a sidetrack.

 

The other (?) Tudor one I can remember ended with 'ad climb a mountain man' :)

 

Think the kid was on a Raleigh Arena and might have been filmed outside the Dunston Rocket ?
