Farmers in the main rely on EU subsidies and cheap EU seasonal labour.

Vote to leave EU. Genius.

It's about sovereignty mate. You wouldn't understand.

Sounds like Johnson is going to ditch all the commitments made in the political declaration about a level playing field.

Im sure that reneging on a deal he supposedly negotiated just months ago will ensure a smooth start to negotiations.

Aye, good thread here. Looks like things are going to get very messy. Good job we hold all the cards, we have them over a barrel (whilst shooting fish in it), it's a piece of cake, and it will be the easiest deal in history.

I just read that he's threatening no deal by June if he doesn't get his way.

Honestly I think the EU should walk away themselves.

I think no deal is all but certain now. The only conclusion I can draw is that this is what the government want to achieve whilst controlling the narrative and shifting blame for the inevitable bad consequences. I think the next few years are going to make the May years look positively halcyon.

But why do they want it so much. Seriously, apart from a few rich fucks shorting the pound, what tangible benefit does it have for anyone, anywhere?

Well they don't give a shit about benefitting people. It's a full on assault of our democracy and a removal of all individual rights and protections. Have you read Brittania Unchained? These fuckers literally wrote it.

Its terrifying.

I haven't. I assume by unchained they mean full free market, zero regulations. Until someone rich needs help when it becomes socialism again.

I hope Cummings is proud of himself if that's what he ushers in. Doesn't seem at all aligned with his espoused views.

Cummings doesn't really have any personal beliefs that I'm aware of. This is just an interesting project for him, he seems to derive pleasure from "the game" per se, much like Johnson does for power in itself.

You can get a canny synopsis of Brittania Unchained from Amazon. I haven't read it all, it's too badly written, and I previously thought far fetched. The vision is highly disturbing though, very dystopian. They are the true haters of the UK, the real traitors. And one of the authors is home secretary.

I remember driving up Wensleydale the day before the referendum and it being a sea of “Leave” banners.
You can’t fix stupid.

A mate of mine is a Farmer up there.  I actually took him off Facebook because he was posting so much shit bangng on about Labour and Corbyn been useless.

I asked him who he was voting for, he replied Tory.  I just laughed.

He actually did vote remain, but here he is voting for a bloke who has fuck all intentions but a hard brexit.  He was also complaining about farm thefts in his local area.  Daft cunts cant put 2+2 together.

So we've gone from:

Full EU membershi but out of Scheghen and Eurozone (Germany ++) to "Exact same benefits", to "special highly integrated relationship" (Chequers), to Canada +++, to Canada, to no deal with added bonus of UK break up, in 4 years!

All based on a dodgy 52% referendum. Bravo gammons, bravo.

Withdrawing from the European arrest warrant now? Is there any other reason but the name, because that sounds like total nonsense to me.

Doesn't access to EU databases ultimately require ECJ supervision? Can't be having any of that foreign nonsense now can we?
