And Cabaye was immense.

And Jonas and Santon and all of them.

One moment that showed all the difference between Debuchy and Simpson. Debuchy intercepts the ball just outside our box and sprints forward. Instead of lumping it long to Cisse, which is exactly what Simpson would have done, he gets his head up and squares a pass to Gouffran with just enough in front of him to allow Gouffran to run on to it and for us to break at pace.

played well though, kept on going. just can't buy a goal. feeling for him this season.

Cisse put away a fine finish last week to be fair. He's clearly still got the ability - it's not like he wasn't scoring goals for fun before he joined us. Just a mental thing - perhaps a similar story for Torres, but on a different scale.

Eh? Before today he'd scored 3 in his last 6.

The pass to Gouffran to Sissoko's goal was unreal too.

You can talk like Mr. Positive.

not like i've been calling for pardew's head tbf.

and i've been pretty positive since the window shut. just wish they'd signed this lot in the summer!

in the context of the season when you look at the chances he's had, he's hardly been great has he. the odd goal recently but he still looks short of confidence in front of goal. should have had at least two today. probably would have last season. can't fault him otherwise. he's still getting in position to get the chances, which is the main thing.

Great win today. Weird how once we have a decent team to put on the pitch we start playing well again, eh? Where are the Pardew haters now?

Does anyone think top 7 a real possibility? Only 8 points off Liverpool, they have a game in hand.

Honestly though, he did well on our 2nd but outside of that he was pretty poor. Was decent holding up the ball but his movement and finishing were really poor. Several crosses into the box that he didn't bother to challenge for. He's also wound up Terry/Cole but should have been sent off if we are honest.
