 Flids. Sorry guys. 8 points behind the dippers then (who have one game in hand and a GD swing of +23).

The last 2 wins does mean looking up the table is now relevant. We needed those 6 points to put us in contention with the 5 teams immediately above us. They all lose their next game by a few goals, we win by a few goals (very very unlikely, a point would be brilliant) and 10th place is there.

Any result at Spurs, then a win at home to Southampton will see us actually move up into mid-table. The 2 teams immediately above us play each other next and the mackems play Arsenal.

Makes Brock's irritating, oblivious-of-context championing of Reading slightly less infuriating too. ;)

Did they show Ramirez's challenge on football first? Thought it had to be a straight red at the time but I've not seen it again.

They didn't show or talk about it on MOTD, nor did Benitez mention it in his moan about them not getting a pen and Colo being sent off. That could and should have been a red for the Chelsea kid. No surprise it wasn't mentioned though.

This is the same fat Spanish waiter who was moaning about his squad being to small and yet Chelsea have the equivalent of a squad of players out on load to other clubs.

Just seen it on goals on Sunday and it's definitely a straight red. Two footed and he jumped into it. He probably landed a bit in front of Jonas so certainly didn't make that bad a contact but it was definitely dangerous and exactly what theyre supposed to be stamping out.

With regards to the Colo/Ba incident, it could have easily been a pen but I think the fact that he got the effort in so he got the advantage was why Webb didn't give it. It wasn't a red card though, his eyes were only ever on the ball. It was just unfortunate for Ba.

Plus Colo was actually facing his own goal when he turned and tried to clear it.

Zero intent and just the result of two players desperately trying to get to the ball.

Speaking of, Ben Arfa must be itching to get back in the side.

Really hope this is the case.

There was that interview Hatem did a couple of weeks ago (before Reading?) where he said he's happy but wanted the club to show ambition. Otherwise his head would be turned.

Hopefully the last couple of weeks or so will have impressed him.

'El Facto' talking shite again. His player gets away with a straight red so he moans about one of ours not getting one and keeps schtum about Ramires.
