My boss knows the crack - he can rely on me when the shit hits the fan, but when it isn't I'm not spending a minute longer than I need to at work. I work with people who will write really long emails during the day, take their computer home and then send that email at 8pm so it looks like they've worked late. I'm single Dad so I had to be out of the office and on the way to pick up kids from daycare by 5 otherwise I wouldn't get there before my daycare closed for the day. Then you have to sit in the lunch room and listen to chumps talking about being at work until 8:30 every night like its some badge of honour. Just because it takes 12 hours for some people to do what I can do in 8 doesn't mean they get a gold star, ffs. Anyway, I figured I needed to get out of the office environment because whilst I had a valid reason for leaving on time every day, I knew in the long term it would effect my career progression. Thats how I felt anyway. So what we need to do is start a commune. There was one in town here a while back. They thought the apocalypse was coming, but we don't need to get that freaky. Just your bog standard polygamy style thing will do nicely. I'm leader of this rig so I get first pick of the lasses, or animals if we get desperate. All of you get on a plane to Australia.
