I've been once because we wanted another pint somewhere and it seemed to make sense at the time. :D Otherwise, no - never really had an interest in the forms of gambling involved. Give me a wildly underinformed bet on an Icelandic under-21 match that I can place from the comfort of my home any day.

Played in the poker tournament at Aspers a few times. Don't go regularly to casinos though. They're depressing places generally IMO.

Check out the Cincinnati Kid here.

Never been to one, not out of any moral issue just the fact I'm not a big gambler as losing money doesn't make me happy and the beer in there would probably be like CT's favourite Spanish tipple, 'orino de Gato'.

played poker a couple times, but it's too slow compared to online. can't understand the urge to play games you can never win though, blackjack, roulette and the like

Blackjack is all right, play it sensibly and you can be at the table for ages.

you're always bleeding off money in the long run though, which I could never get past. always thought it was funny that the only time you can gain an edge on the house at blackjack (counting) they bar you

Course you are. You're in a casino. It's not about beating the house, people who try to do that lose. It's about having a laugh and spending time playing card games and getting drunk.

Especially in Vegas

Never been to one in the uk. Loved them in Vegas, been about half a dozen times and have never beaten the casino , despite being a few hundred bucks up at various stages. My problem is never quitting while ahead. It's more fun, it seems, to keep gambling until the money has dried up. It's all the free drinks that do it.

exactly, though I know rare people who beat the house too. mind I know a couple who do it sports betting too, and I could never do either. poker on the other hand, is easy if you have half a brain and a willingness to learn

ETA: it's worth noting that with a bad enough rake, poker becomes a house game

Was banned from Grosvenor in 2000 and the Stanley in 2003, although the second one wasn't really my fault, butbefore that I was never out the casino from 97 to 2003. When Aspers opened I started going in there now and then, but they're bad news generally. Full of cunts too.

Win hundreds a year on sports betting, only been in a casino once though. I remember betting on blackjack online and thinking I was big spuds using the martingale system... Until I almost lost 80 quid to win about a tenner
