You have been warned.

We have Gammons, centrist Dads, and slugs on here.

In your view, I am the leading Corbynite on here, right?

Have I ever used any of those terms? Who are you warning, exactly?

I've been using gammon, slug and melt as general insults for years, never specifically to do with any of this shite.

Why is there this expectation that the left are required to be nice anyway?

Right wingers are snowflakes?

I honestly don't think many people in the centre would be put off by those sorts of words - and if they are, then they're more interested in narratives than they are in policy.

Apart from gammon, which is canny funny and perfectly descriptive, those insults are shit. Not so much 'melt' in its wider context, more within the paramters set by that article. That DUP MP trying to make out gammon is racist is canny funny

Its no wonder the working class are flooding to the tories.

That is entirely unsurprising.

Coming from an MP whose party actively discriminates against the gay community.

Difficult to know if it's self-parody at this point. Probably not.

Edit: CT that is, as it's definitely not the case with the DUP

Have some of these kids been offending you or something?

If the working class are flooding to the Tories because they're being called names, then they are certainly the immature ones in this context. Why vote for a party that will improve your standard of life when you can choose the Tories as a safe space to prevent against being called names...

I think you give the working classes no credit at all. The reason the they abandon the left is because the left has generally had no message for them, preferring to prioritise other groups while maintaining the status quo and making it look like they're 'doing something progressive'. Not because they're being called names ffs.

I’ve always used Gammon as slang for the loose and dangling nethers of “ladies of a certain age”, so,

” I bet Kellyanne Conway’s gammons look like a gutted rabbit”

” At this moment in her Premiership, Theresa May needs a fucking sturdy kick in the gammon”

and so forth.

I guess applying it to middle-aged Tory blokes fits quite well, since they’re also flabby, often ignored cuntflaps.
