From a completely pedantic POV, surely he’s using government funds and the government Twitter account to pretty much make a party political advert?

Much like the levelling up adverts you see in city / town centres. In places that look tatty as fuck for extra irony points

A couple of things about this. Since the tories are happy to use images of the king on a political advert I think that should clear Labour to do the same, perhaps a side by side picture of Johnson partying and getting pissed, whilst the queen mourns the passing of her husband - alone?

But more to the point, if you follow the link to the entirely reputable Express, you'll see it leads to the Global Soft Power Index. The Express claims this as a Brexit victory. However, pre-referendum in 2015 the UK's place in this list was ...... first.

Parody really is dead

Sounds like the sort of clued-up, responsible behaviour you want from the people running the country.

This was the lad trying to hound the speaker out recently. I wonder how he feels today about making a mistake, apologising for it, and being given the benefit of the doubt by your colleagues.

Caught a bit of sky news as this was breaking and the presenter deflected it from being about 'party politics' and I thought why not? It's almost ALWAYS Tories who do this type of shit, every Tory MP isn't a sexual deviant but every MP who's a wrong'un is a Tory.

Whereas highlighting Labour councils potentially going bust is fine. Even if the factors (like equal pay claims or lack of central government funding) have little to do with the politics of the party running the council. Not to mention less focus on Tory-run councils also facing bankruptcy

I love that they sent someone out on the news to talk about how these phishing attacks are a real concern.

You know what else is a real concern? A serving MP actually falling for this and sending pictures of his tackle to someone he doesn't know on a dating app, and then finding himself a victim of blackmail leading to him providing contact details for other MPs.

You know what's a further real concern? That two of the MPs whose contact details were shared immediately also shared pictures of their tackle in response to completely unsolicited flirty texts from a complete stranger.

We all have training about phishing attacks at work ffs. The attacks are not the concern, it's stupid cunts falling for them. Especially when those same stupid cunts are meant to be capable of running a country.

whatever you thin of him, cameron is still a polished performer. another reminder that before brexit front line politicians were once good communicators and not all halfwits like the current lot

The same good communicator did an interview with the BBC yesterday where he refused to answer a single question on Israel-Gaza even though he's the fucking foreign secretary.

So HE can fuck off, and so can everyone on twitter that's licking his balls for being able to walk and talk at the same time.

Also the great communicator that won't be held to scrutiny by the commons for ANYTHING that he's doing as foreign secretary.

Easy to be a great communicator when you won't be subject to scrutiny on anything that might put you in a difficult position.

Also where was this great communication during the EU referendum campaign?

David Cameron is a cunt. Communication is the basic requirement for being a politician, you don't get extra marks for it, no matter how shit everyone else that's come after you is.

I assume they need some sort of SC clearance so they would get extra training around this being Government officials. The majority of this is common sense of course - which many of them seemingly lack.

admittedly it's a low bar when you compare him to the recent picks for deputy chairman

i think it speaks to the broader point that brexit (cameron's creation) has left us with a cabinet of talentless halfwits. politicians used to be good, whatever you thought of their principles, or lack of.

cameron should have stayed under his rock, but his return does highlight just how appalling the current crop are.

Notice this tweet has now had to be deleted, apparently cos they broke the law by including the King on their shitty advertising.
