West Ham have never won successive games in the Premier League under Sam Allardyce. Now would be a good time to start. Last week's victory at Cardiff lifted West Ham out of the bottom three but they remain in a precarious position and Upton Park is bound to be gripped by nerves against Newcastle, who have lost their past four matches. The welcome news for West Ham is that Andy Carroll will be on the bench again as he continues his comeback from injury and he should be joined there by Ravel Morrison, despite talk linking him with Fulham. Jacob Steinberg

They're basically shit, no reason we can"t win this. :)

Well, I had a word with the clique of scattered pigeons and they all agree that, because of your carefree thread-starting, we're now nailed on to lose.

I hope you're pleased with yourself.

I've done plenty of match threads in the past baldy.

How do you divine your positive prediction, did an Alien tell you? A lizard?

Or is this all just a big conspiracy?

West Ham are rubbish. We have enough to beat them, plus all the pressure will be on them and Jabba.

They're coming off a win, they've got their main striker back from injury, we're still without our captain and 1st choice centre half in Coloccini and we're without our best performing player in Debuchy

Ideally we would fucking destroy these to choruses of "you're getting sacked in the morning" from both home and away support, upon which Fat Sam would duly be sacked in the morning.

Probably we'll grind out a 2-1 win with a largely toothless and boring performance aided only by their defensive flaws.

I'd take that at the moment to be honest. Not as dire as a 'stop the rot' sort of position, but we do need to get back to winning ways.
