Renton 5427
Is this supposed to be held at the arena? Surely that's not a suitable venue.
Meenzer 7940
That's one of the issues, 11,000 means the arena too small compared with most recent venues really. By the time you've installed the stage, the green room for 25+ delegations and all, you're looking at a capacity of maybe 6,000. If it was one of the few suitable places in a country like Israel or Serbia or wherever then it might still get the nod, but it's not like the UK has a shortage of venues in bigger cities with 3-5k more seats. There's that plus it's basically a dark shit hole. Pity its come too early for the new Sage arena which will have 12500 capacity and not be an erm, dark shithole. Plus I'm sure you could use the current Sage next door for some hospitality etc. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/gateshead-quayside-arena-levelling-up-24367235

Meenzer 7940
Wolverhampton have thrown their hat into the ring as a potential host city. I suppose if it's going to be a Ukrainian co-production, it makes sense to pick somewhere that resembles downtown Mariupol.
