It’s not the lino’s fault because it’s the rules that play should be allowed to continue but it’s fucking ridiculous when someone is so clearly offside in the build up. You felt it was only a matter of time before a player got a serious injury in a situation like that

I don't blame the rule, just as much chance of a freak injury like that in any phase of play, players clatter posts fairly often, amazing there's not more bad ones tbh.

 

Just one of those things sadly.

Yeah I don’t blame the lino, she was simple applying the rules.

 

Fucking stupid rule though. Don’t see hrs benefit aside from winding people up.

The benefit is fewer attacks are stopped incorrectly. Even with the rule in place, you still see linesman occasionally raise their flag incorrectly or raise their flag at the end of the passage of play and be wrong.
