It's not a bad film in its own right (although it's certainly nothing special) but when you put it next to the first two it's absolute dogshit. It's rare in that it's a superhero film that isn't just for kids or yet another origin story. On those terms it's a bloody good action film with a bit more depth (a bit like Heat perhaps) but it just isn't a great work of art. Thinking of the best two films I've watched again recently, The Good The Bad & The Ugly and Chinatown, it doesn't compare. I'll still buy the dvd when it comes out like. When it started I wondered what all the hype was about but I thought it got better as it went on. Nice and violent too. Enjoyed it. Not great, but pretty good.
