Come on, no pubs, restaurants, cinemas, holidays or get togethers is going to be tough. It's just sinking in for me. 

 

I am really lucky though. I'm still getting paid. So is the wife. Recently moved house with a garden, right next to a park and the beach. If this had happened last year I would have been cooped in a flat with a half built house, which would have been even more delayed. Many people are in a much worse position and I feel very sorry for them.

I'm really struggling to motivate myself to work though. I provide evidence to committees, committees that almost certainly won't take place now this year. Plus I think the schools will be disbanding this week, so I'll probably have to become a full time Dad to the little shits kids for a while.

Noises coming from our occupational health wife who I’m conducting an online affair with at the moment are disappointing...they’re going to assess how well asthma symptoms are “controlled” She’s an RGN with an MSc & a NEBOSH cert. I’m fairly certain the good old Corvid 19 virus isn’t going to take into account whether I’m taking my fuckin inhalers correctly before it assaults my respiratory system. But I’m standing by to be corrected by my employers who are clearly keen to show that their employees health is at the top of their agenda at this time

I've been thinking about this. If you are stage 2 or above, you need to be careful imo. You can prove this status through your asthma review notes and last years prescriptions. However, if you're stage 1 like me and rarely even use a reliever, pragmatically I think this quarantine doesn't apply. I hope so cos I'm clearly not cut out for isolation! But then again, I also have ulcerative colitis so fuck knows.

I’m under the care of a respiratory consultant at Poole hospital..was referred by my GP. They couldn’t take treatment any further.

@PaddockLad a mutual friend just been ordered home on full pay to wait and see how things progress because he also has asthma and even his workmates have been told to go home and only work in pairs for emergency call outs. They work on maintenance around the transport system. Meanwhile I'm expecting not to be able to socialise in pubs with friends or visit relatives but am ok to work alongside colleagues and sit with them in a relatively small bait room in my vital confectionery job.
