Gemmill 62983 Posted November 19 Share Posted November 19 I didn't realise that if Congo selects Wissa for AFCON and he doesn't go, he can't play for Newcastle during that time anyway. So it's really up to them whether he goes or not, or at least whether he plays for Newcastle. Hopefully Ross Wilson is working his magic with them. Saying that, we’ve no idea if he wants to go or not. He’s bound to be one of the best players in the team and there will be pressure on him to accept a call up. Playing for your country is one of the highest honours a player can get, it’s not their fault the AFCON is held in the middle of our season.
