Genuinely have little to no appetite for this season at the minute.

Come on Fish it'll be ok. It wouldn't be a Newcastle window without some kind of drama

I think most fans feel the same. The local journos were leaking a budget of £150m, with 3 or 4 first team upgrades being looked at.

2 weeks before the season starts and we've lost a CM and CF without replacing them, are on the cusp of losing our best player, have signed a bang average keeper, and are dangerously short in CB, CM and CF.

Not our fault that our targets went elsewhere, but 100% our fault that it takes us an eternity to pivot to other signings. Pedro to Chelsea was done in a matter of days. As was Trafford to City. Elanga aside, our squad is worse now than it was 6months ago.

Of course we don't have to accept a bid from Liverpoolwe can always politely decline i.e. tell them to go & fuck themselves.

Why the fuck do we have to be polite about it?

No matter how much the press want to make you believe that Isak is now in Liverpool's tractor beam, and resistance is futile, that's bollocks. Given where they've started their bidding, there's a decent enough chance we keep the player for another season.

We knew this was coming. I honestly thought they'd come with better than they have.

We're after a striker anyway and have the money so lets get cracking on with that. As for Mr Isak and the holier than thou football club who are after him with their client media chipping in, I'd say simply 'pay up or shut up'. I'd inform the precious Alexander the Cunt that unless his preferred choice of club value him as much as NUFC does then he gets himself training and gets back on the pitch. Failure to apply himself or refusing to play will see him forfeit his no doubt substantial salary, we bought him for £63m apparently for six years, he's done three so every season he rots in the house we lose £10.5m (obviously all rough figures) but save on his salary. Let's see what football club will touch him in three years if he's only been training with a personal trainer with zero football under his belt. Time to start putting out a few metaphorical straighteners to one two parties including agents. Fuck them all.

I'd love to believe the hierarchy think like that. It would make our position on future approaches abundantly clear.

The media is what piss me off. With a handful of notable exceptions they act as though Liverpool are well within rights to tap up and unsettle a player to the point where a selling club's position is significantly weakened. It's fucking bullying, and the media facilitate that.

Aye, there are plenty of examples of clubs refusing to sell want away players. Spurs and Lucas Moura, Forest and MGW, Liverpool and Suarez. If any club can afford it, it's us. Tell him he can signs a new contract or leave on a free in 3 years.

Exactly.

We'll have no more of this "ugh I can't face the season" talk either. There'll be scouse cunts looking in here to see what the reaction is. Fuck them, fuck all their mates in the media and absolutely fuck their club.

If this Swedish meff wants to turn out for these, on you fucking go son, but at a price of OUR choosing.

Liverpool didn't sell Gerrard to Chelsea and it was unfair of Chelsea to unsettle him but obviously NUFC and idk is completely different of course.

I’d like Watkins and Wissa but they are both going to be imminently 29/30 which means we are going to have to sign two top strikers in 2 or 3 years. I’d prefer one of them and 1 younger model.  Needs must of course.

i like how Villa have just said : “that’s our price. Take it or leave it.” That should be able to work for us but Isak is an unprofessional prick whereas Watkins isn’t

Very good comparison - was 20 years ago this summer IIRC and all on the red side of Merseyside were utterly appalled at Chelsea courting their prized asset all summer. He had his head turned for a while before he changed his mind and signed a new deal.

Didn't Arsenal trigger Suarez's release clause and the dippers still wouldn't sell? Cunts

Right now, and especially if we lose Isak, they'll be great additions to the squad. Both will score goals for fun for the next season - possibly the next 2.

I don't think we're in a position to be too picky on the ages right now else we're running the risk of ending up with fuck all.

IIRC it wasn't a release clause per se, I think Suarez had a clause in his contract whereby Liverpool had to inform him of any bids for him that were in excess of £40m.

Suarez wasn't interested so stayed put.

Devil's advocate here, but is their an argument we're guilty of doing to Wissa what Isak and scouse cunts are doing to us?

LFC are acting the cunt but were the shoe on the other foot... We're all hypocrites. Its the media hypocrisy I find galling though

Ballsy prediction.

And Howe will play such a tune from Ninez and Wissa it'll be like a string orchestra and we'll win the league.

Coincidentally, I've been reading about the infinite Universes theory again. I mean, that explains Leicester.

wissa had a gentleman’s agreement with Brentford which they reneged on.

plus we put in an official bid. No tapping up beforehand.

No it's totally different IMO. We approached Brentford with an offer of a figure they'd (allegedly) agreed with Wissa to accept only for Brentford to go back on their word because they didn't want to lose Wissa and Mbeumo. Brentford are the cunts in their tale and Liverpool and Isak are the cunts in ours. We're squeaky clean, just like our lord and saviour MBS.
