As much as I want him to rot in the reserves until he realises he has massively fucked up, I still think the noise around him for another 3 months is too much to bear for Eddie. It's a massive distraction every press conference and with him still at the club, there'll still be the weekly question of "is there any sign of Isak returning?". In an ideal world we will take a £120m offer from anyone outside of the PL but it sounds like he's already rejected Saudi.

OK so what is your real world solution to this though? Not I want him liquidised in the canteen blender. What is your realistic solution? 

 

If the player is just saying I will never play for the club again, even saying right well we keep him and we fine him every week for the next three years, and we make him train by himself etc. That's still a huge drain on the club.

Isak is currently (or was) a big fish in small pond.  When he goes to Liverpool that changes. 

 

Not only does he have the likes of Ekiteke, Wirtz (whos shite) Salah etc, but he's also in a bigger city (in terms of pop) with two Prem clubs.  Yeh yeh you can have all that fucking bollocks about YNWA and 'Special night at Anfield' wank from cunts on Talksport.  But he isn't going to be taken to the hearts like he did at Newcastle.  Fuck the cunt and go drink the Mersey and get leprosy you bag of shit.

first and foremost I'd like to see him reduced to pig slop.

failing that, I'd freeze him out for a year, fine him £1/2m every month and broker a deal elsewhere. preferably to a country where I can forget the cunt even exists.

an alternative to rewarding both him and the murderers has to be found or we're sitting on a time bomb of just waiting for this to happen all over again.

i agree but we have been poor sellers. i don't want to sell isak to liverpool but i also don't want him to stay. i think we fuck up future windows if we sign two strikers for the best part of £130m then keep hold of isak to prove a point. his value goes down and we can't spend as much on players to improve nufc. i don't give a shit about isak, only what is best for the club. 

 

shame there haven't been other clubs in for him as selling him abroad would be a nice way to fuck off the scousers but it's all about who blinks first now. we need to extract as much money from liverpool - and possiby isak and his agent - as possible. 

 

i would say to isak - submit a transfer request and you can leave for £135m. if he refuses and liverpool really want him, the should pay the asking price - even if some of it is made up in add ons. 

 

let the clock tick down until deadline day and we'll see how much liverpool want him.

Well I think you're gonna be disappointed. I think if we can get £130m for him this window, and just move on from the whole mess, that would be preferable. I hate that he's getting what he wants, but I don't think keeping him just to fine him for a year is workable. 

 

He's flaky with injuries anyway, and I just hope his career goes off the rails from here on, cos I fucking hate the bloke.

What would be lovely would be to discover the club are exploring the legal angle to sell him, but seek an injunction to ban him from playing for a set period of time - gardening leave if you like. 

Then it leaves his new suitors with a decision to make - compensate for immediate release, or suck up the delay. To not be revealed until the very last minute of course - let them fuckers think they're getting their way and then swift yank the rug from beneath them.

On the contrary, I think they would go massively, and deliberately overboard where he's concerned - not for his benefit, but for ours. They'll be wanting to make the point that he's theirs now and everything that went before, including the adoration and idolisation, pales into insignificance.

and I think you're probably right.

for all the positives we've  seen over the last few years, the one standout negative in my opinion is we do seem to lack the will for a fight.  

in fairness the owners were resolute in actually buying the club in the first place, but since we've been quite compliant.

anyway, at some point we've got to say no and mean it. I actually doff my hat to the fat lad who owns forest and refused to accept gibbs white fucking off.

I think the reality is that for the suits this is way less emotional than it is for us. They have other things to deal with, this is just a distraction. All that's going to matter to them is getting the best possible outcome for the club, and at this point that's probably just taking the money and binning the whole situation off. I doubt any real personal animosity has come into this even between us and Liverpool over it.

I was speaking to one of my mates last night who supports Arsenal. He said the way Isak has gone on has made him fucking angry and he doesn't even play for his club so he cannot comprehend how livid we must all be.
