Which under the guidelines of VAR he is obliged to do!

Um, you sure about that. Isn't it the VAR referee's job to deem whether the incident needs review and that's why they check stuff and dismiss it without the on field referee ever having to go review.

Sorry mate, you are wrong in this instance.

What’s he obliged to do like? Look for fouls where there are none? Have a fundamental lack of understanding about the sport he’s overseeing?

A goal was scored when the goalkeeper was taken out (who by is immaterial). It's a slam dunk VAR review. The final decision of which rests with the on-field ref. I'm not denying we've been fucked over, but it's the guy on the pitch we need to be venting our fury towards, Mason has done want he is obliged to do as a VAR official.

Actually Sammy, it's you who is completely wrong and clearly don't understand how VAR operates. Goals scored with any element of doubt over its validity is, under current guidelines,  always passed to the on-field referee for final review. Same happened at Wolves where their goal was chalked off.

He’s not obliged to send it down to the on field ref, that’s what we’re saying. The FA should have banned you for life. ;)

No, he doesn’t have to send him to the monitor at all, man  if he looks at that replay, he sees the collision is caused by a Palace player pushing a Newcastle player in the back

Clear that many of you don't understand how VAR works. Goal scored whilst GK is taken out = automatic review. Good day to you all
