Tom 14288
Just got back home. Spent the day in the centre circle section of Club Wembley before getting guest list for Limp Bizkit at Wembley Arena Its hard to put into words how mental that was & the feeling of seeing the players lift the trophy in black & white ribbons. Best day of my life. 🏆🥇

In all my years watching us play we’ve always crumbled when it’s mattered. I always used to think the motto of the city was ironic in relation to the club, as defence was so often our Achilles heel, even when we were good. But on Sunday I thought how appropriate it is applied to Howe’s team and especially that performance. Fortiter Defendit Triumphans (Triumphing by Brave Defence).
Monkeys Fist 46428
I’ve been thinking about Sir Eddie’s admission that he’s had the tactics for the game for two weeks, and purposely didn’t play them in the league game against the Dippers. This is a side who we have not won against in fucking ages, and Howe had never beaten in his managerial career. Given how superstitious footballers are, I reckon he’s put the hex on them now We let them have the one match, knowing we were going to fucking paste them when it mattered. He’s some boy, wor Edward.

Dr Gloom 24268
Just watched it again with sober eyes. Main takeaways: Burn’s performance was Herculean. He won absolutely everything in the air. Both sides were unusually direct, to our advantage. I think it was our game plan, to pump it long and use our midfield advantage to win the second balls. Liverpool were forced to go long too because we didn’t allow them to play out. We won duels all over the pitch. They couldn’t cope with our athleticism and tenacity. And when we had to defend, which didn’t happen too often, we blocked pretty much everything. They were all 10/10 performances but Burn, Joelinton, Tonali, Tino and Trippier were different class. Hat tip to the crowd. It sounded like we were playing at home. Barely a peep from the scousers
Dr Gloom 24268
I see a few of the rags have been linking Bruno with a move to Arsenal today. And Romano has linked Isak with Liverpool. They can’t just fuck off and let us enjoy the moment can they? We’re clearly not welcome in the cartel club

And by 'games like this' I mean situations where we are the better team but can't climb the psychological mountain that is required to beat a team like Man Utd when we need to. The ability to visualise ourselves as 'better'. As winners. The club has, IMO, always struggled with this in the entire time I've known it. One day we have to shake that off, we have to leap into the game confident that we are better, that we are deserving, and that we will win. I don't know if tomorrow is the day we do that, but it is an opportunity. I remembered writing this back in December about a far less meaningful game against Man Utd. Didn't actually think we'd ever really do it properly...

Rory the sour Yorkshire cunt basically dismissing the PSR restrictions we've had. Saw a clip of a guardian podcast where one of them opens with the amount of executions there was in Saudi Arabia last year, saw a Times podcast that was about the match and occasion but halfway through the female on it thought it was a bit depressing that nobody mentioned Saudi Arabia and sports washing and I thought the only depressing thing about that show was her trying to suck out any joy Martin Hardy had, (he answered her superbly and the others seemed a bit embarrassed by her or Martin I'm not sure but seemed more by her). The only sports washing I've seen around NUFC other than some initial divvies in the earliest days of the takeover was the sports direct washing of the club, it was everywhere in the stadium, it was on the boards for interviews and the cunt even desecrated our historical name. As for these? Apart from seeing lasses with head dress on escorting players onto the pitch* you don't see much if anything, if they're sports washing they're being very low key about it, in fact the only cunts who bring it up are the usual suspects. *No wait, that's at the Emirates.
