Eddie’s stronger squad, which will bounce back after a turgid game against Leeds with the new Crouch and Defoe, vs Wolves

I think any sort of 3 points would do here, doesn't have to be a blow away performance and I agree with the others above it likely wont be a straight forward game. Just find a way to get the 3 points, get us moving up the table and some momentum going. A goal or two from our new forwards would be brilliant, get that last bit of rat stench out of the club too.

Doesn't sound like a major issue for Wissa. He's "feeling the effects of the injury he sustained before coming off". Sounds like this game has just come slightly too quickly rather than it being a proper injury.

Aye, out for a month.

His injury record was shocking at Villa. Hopefully it's not a pattern. Back to Willock and Miley as our rotation options either side of CL games.

Woltemade debut?

Do we have another option?  After watching the Leeds match, if we thought we did, it's obvious we don't.

It's just not really a Howe thing to do usually is it? I'd have assumed he would try and bring him in slowly but if he can't do a better job than Osula then we've got problems.

He was forced into it with Isak by Wilson getting crocked immediately so it's not usual but not entirely without precedent.

Well there is, not start him.  TBH I think that's what he might go with.

He put Isak straight in when he was needed.  Nick has just played twice for Germany and had a weeks training with us so he's in at least as good a position as Isak was when he signed.  I think we'd have all preferred to have Wissa available being premier league acclimatised and on the back of a couple of goals for his country, but I don't think there's any doubt Woltermade will play.
