  1. Past hour
  2. He’ll be distracted by his new pub he’s opening in Pennywell, The Thalidomide Arms. It’s already been done for short measures. Anyway, regarding the thread starter, it’s good to see the Return of The King, especially as we welcome Gollum Moyes. I can’t see anything but a resounding 5-0 for us.
  3. Just seen this. @Rayvin, I'm quoting Spongey here as he is spot on. Loads of good advice from others and I'd struggle to add to it. What I would say though is when I was at my lowest ebb you absolutely were there for me and were a big factor in getting through it, both publicly and in your private messages. You've got remarkable empathy and compassion, but with that comes a tendency for self criticism and introspection which you 100% don't deserve. Keep going, you mention you are renting from a mate and there is a possible business opportunity with another one coming up relatively soon, so you have friends. I am sure you are much more liked and loved than you will ever credit yourself. Things will come good for you, I am sure of it. And never feel embarrassed about offloading on here, what do you young ones say..... yes, please always reach out when you are feeling down. Your darker thoughts scare me, I've been there, like you, only for fleeting moments thankfully. But that is bad enough.
  4. And leather garden furniture. And drugs. Actually do not go there. At least not the furniture
  5. £62m is actually a decent price for Man U when you look at their recent transfer history so for that reason alone expect Wolves to slap on an extra £20m to the asking price
  6. Think Cunha is one of those players who will be heavily influenced by the atmosphere around him. If he came here I think he would flourish under Eddie with the proper management. If he goes to Salford Red the number of cunts there will encourage more petulant behaviour and Anthony like performances aka £62m down the drain again
  7. Today
  8. I really hope they lose on Wednesday as they'll be utterly fucked.
  9. The reality is each of the 5 teams HAVE to win on Sunday. Man City - have 2 games Bournemouth (H) & Fulham (A). Neither is straight forward. I'd much rather having points on the board than games in hand Chelsea - have to go to Forest and win. Not straight forward. Villa - have to go to Man Utd and win. Not straight forward. Forest - have to beat Chelsea and hope Villa don't win. Not straight forward. Newcastle - have to beat Everton at home. Surely the easier ask of any of the 5 teams.
  10. This is absolutely true. If we win, nothing else matters in this, it's not like we can fall lower than 5th unless Villa get a completely impossible scoreline. We win 1-0 and it's over, irrespective of what anyone else is doing.
  11. Probably banking on winning on Wednesday
  12. It's in our hands. We win our game, we're in the Champions League. As much as we're all ruminating on what might happen, the reality is we have to zone out on all the permutation bullshit and just concentrate of what we need to do. Right now, I'd much rather be in our position than any of the other 5 vying for one of the places.
  13. Where are they getting £62.5m from? 😀
  14. it's going to be the longest week of the season
  15. I went into this situation fully expecting to be opposed to the outcome that has been landed on, but having viewed the video, that rat emoji is really prominent. So there's no way he didn't see it - and while I don't believe for a second that he shared it knowing the implications of it (I didn't know that a rat is symbolically attached to antisemitic tropes either), I do think that the prominence of said emoji would have at least given me pause before I shared it. The counter argument is that he could have looked at it and assumed the rat was aimed at the Israeli government or whatever, and fine, that's a fair argument - but in the end if this was some other far right dog whistle from some other personality, we'd be calling for blood. From the BBC's point of view it makes total sense to take the position they have because the guy is basically out of the door anyway. So for all I should be one of the people wound up about this, I'm not. He should be way more careful in what he's sharing, and additionally, the BBC gains nothing from going to bat for him here.
  16. i'm not having that. CT is our very own Boris Johnson - an affable tory buffoon. you can accuse him of a lot of things but he isn't lacking in the personality department
  17. i mean, the thing he shared was pretty offensive by all accounts, using the rat trope for jews. i like lineker. he's seems like a good boke. he's highly critical of Israel - and that's fine - i also don't think he is an antisemite but you'd expect him to be more conscientious about what he shares after the last social media storm he was involved in.
  18. But it can buy you a sequencer
  19. BLATANT dig at Boldon's 100k Kid here.
  20. money doesn't buy taste, or a personality
  21. I echo everything that's already been said. Might be worth speaking to your GP too. You're definitely seeing things through negative glasses which may be a sign that your mood isn't great atm. Money makes life easier, but it doesn't define you. Some of the nicest people I know are hard up, and some of the richest I know are arseholes.
  22. Conversely, a goalkeeper is allowed to handle the ball if his feet are outside his box so long as the ball remains with the bounds of the penalty area.
