  1. Past hour
  2. it's going to be the longest week of the season
  3. I went into this situation fully expecting to be opposed to the outcome that has been landed on, but having viewed the video, that rat emoji is really prominent. So there's no way he didn't see it - and while I don't believe for a second that he shared it knowing the implications of it (I didn't know that a rat is symbolically attached to antisemitic tropes either), I do think that the prominence of said emoji would have at least given me pause before I shared it. The counter argument is that he could have looked at it and assumed the rat was aimed at the Israeli government or whatever, and fine, that's a fair argument - but in the end if this was some other far right dog whistle from some other personality, we'd be calling for blood. From the BBC's point of view it makes total sense to take the position they have because the guy is basically out of the door anyway. So for all I should be one of the people wound up about this, I'm not. He should be way more careful in what he's sharing, and additionally, the BBC gains nothing from going to bat for him here.
  4. i'm not having that. CT is our very own Boris Johnson - an affable tory buffoon. you can accuse him of a lot of things but he isn't lacking in the personality department
  5. i mean, the thing he shared was pretty offensive by all accounts, using the rat trope for jews. i like lineker. he's seems like a good boke. he's highly critical of Israel - and that's fine - i also don't think he is an antisemite but you'd expect him to be more conscientious about what he shares after the last social media storm he was involved in.
  6. But it can buy you a sequencer
  7. BLATANT dig at Boldon's 100k Kid here.
  8. money doesn't buy taste, or a personality
  9. I echo everything that's already been said. Might be worth speaking to your GP too. You're definitely seeing things through negative glasses which may be a sign that your mood isn't great atm. Money makes life easier, but it doesn't define you. Some of the nicest people I know are hard up, and some of the richest I know are arseholes.
  10. Conversely, a goalkeeper is allowed to handle the ball if his feet are outside his box so long as the ball remains with the bounds of the penalty area.
  11. You seem like a genuinely lovely and compassionate bloke on here. You’ve got nothing to be ashamed of, you should be proud of what a lovely human being you are. Also, as has been said on here, never let work define you, it’s just a means to an end and I’m sure the majority on here have absolutely pointless jobs (mine is totally fucking futile). I won’t give the slightest fuck about my employer the day I leave. You managed to go it alone and set up and run your own business for a number of years and feel invested. I have massive respect for that, it takes some balls. Hang in there and don’t be afraid to share on here.
  12. Yes Ask the Referee | AYSO Region 13
  13. you were on six figures slinging sofas at DFS?
  14. This is a great point. If work isn't going well it can affect my self esteem and mental health but it absolutely isn't the most important thing in life. Work to live, don't live to work.
  15. What's the rule though ? If a keeper is in the box but touches the ball (in the air) outside the box, is that handball ?
  16. Not a hope are we beating Pickford with so much at stake. Just not going to happen.
  17. Today
  18. What’s the point of having a cult if you can’t get away with groping a few followers
  19. Semantics maybe, but the difference is the keeper is releasing the ball whereas in the incident with Henderson the ball isn't in his possession when he come into contact with it. He handled it outside the box which was observed on the replays and the incident was reviewed by VAR. At the very least it's a handball and a free kick to Man City. As for it being about the ball or player that's relevant, if it's the goal line and the ball crosses it, it's a goal. Position of the ball, not the player is what's relevant.
  20. Cunha on the verge of joining Man United for ÂŁ62.5m Be interested to see if this gets over the line if they fuck up on Wednesday night.
  21. No-one said they run out of the box, they release the ball before kicking it (no shit sherlock!), but it's nigh on always outside the box when they do, just watch for it.
  22. "Bruno! Bruno! Get rid, none of that forrin muck shite, for fuck sake!"
  23. Thanks for this - I hope your missus manages to reach her goals in all that too.
