  1. The Wheatsheafs is a canny pub but that's about it.
  2. He'll still be on here tomorrow on his day off, cos he's got nowt better to do.
  3. Aha! You know that, FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!!! So do you know how to adjust the tappets on an engine? In theory I guess so, although in practice I wouldn't. But knowing a bit about your OS isn't at the same level as say solder moding your CPU (which is about the same level as you're talking about in car ownership), more like checking your oil and at least having a vague idea what oil does for it. Nah, the equivalent in computer ownership to checking your oil would be running a spyware checker or defragmenting the hard drive. Not knowing the ins and outs of the operating system. While I agree with your overall viewpoint, I'd say it's more like knowing the difference between a BMW engine and Mercedes Engine. Nah, but maybe a conventional straight 4 and a rotary engine.... but even then I dunno. Surely that would be knowing the difference between different types of processor? What am I doing?
  4. Plus it's a bone fracture rather than a muscle or cartelige injury which a more likely to recur.
  5. But they're making out this chap is larger than he actually is. Imagine what that's doing for his self esteem.
  6. 55 stone is not half a ton.
  7. Wor lass just got wor four. I'm rather chuffed to be quite honest.
  8. Thin is with Eldon is that you have to use those bloody big tennis balls instead of a proper ball. Ideally the soccerdome, but it's a bit of a treck. Next best is the stadium I reckon. Aye the dome is good (bit more expensive like), but as you say might not be handy for everyone to get to. Don't know about the stadium.
  9. Plan was Eldon, but I'm easy.
  10. He weighs the same as a duck that bloke.
  11. You mean in the way that Terry Wogan makes a difference by collecting 8 grand for doing Children in Need? Terry and I have fallen out since I found out about that Went up in my estimation. Just cos I don't like kids.
  12. Me father will no doubt remind me of the time it snowed in July. Spring tomorrow though.
  13. In the same way that Andy Griffin used to tackle well. The problem with this style is that you are constantly giving the referee an excuse to give a foul, if you mistime it or not, especially in European games. True it looks good, and to be honest it's how I go about playing football, but it's surely better to stay on your feet and close the man then block tackle.
  14. Reet is everyone up for this on Sunday?
  15. Gonna wait for the next ticket release then see what the crack is. Dead keen on going but I'm not paying stupid amounts to some flybenight Ebat ywat. Mind that's how we got them last year.
  16. Couldn't Leeds weekend ones like. Nightmare.
  17. Cheers peepholes. Had a mint day at the races yesterday before returning to the scene of Gotham, giving it six nowt on the dance floor. Taking it well easy today like.
  18. Aye, I watched Goodfellas last night too. Then flicked over for the last hour or so of Van Wilder. I have no shame.
  19. About halfway through Pies and Predjudice - Stuart Maconie's book about the North of England. It's got some quite interesting bits but he isn't a great writer to be fair.
  20. The Unshockable. I have to say this album is bloody class.
  21. I'm the one doing the walking. She's doing some sort of experiment and needs a "Lab Rat" to walk I think. Hopefully get to be covered in pingpong balls. The missing link tbh. She wants me in my shorts now. Just an excuse methinks . And shirt off too. Dear me. Being a stone and a half overweight mustn't bother her, but I am perfectly symmetrical. That's all the extra things done, might have to get down to some proper work now for a few hours.
  22. Not giving Milner a minute, nay a second, when he's been one of our more productive players this season. Clueless.
