  1. On a side note. We've tried this launch a freekick from the half way line trick all season and have zero goals from it. Probably time to retire that
  2. Don't let that get in the way of a good story
  3. Everton and Dyche are a match made in heaven. Scouse Mackems have delusions of grandeur with all this "Everton way" bollocks. They've only ever been mildly effective when they've been pragmatic like Moyes era or the dirty dogs of war.
  4. Agree with that. Murphy is a championship player at best - although he does seem to have his tail up at the minute. We don't have any natural goalscorer in the team especially when Wilson is off form. I keep beating the drum about Maddison but he knows where the goal is and can also create. Essentially the players have done superbly to get us here but we'll need more goals next season. ideally you want 10+ from your wingers and 20+ from your main striker(s), with the central midielders chipping in as well (which bruno could do if he had someone that could play his position)
  5. Arsenal seem to get over the line all of the time. Pricks. Spurs look crap every time ive watched them. They just seem to rely on set pieces. Can't see them making the top 4.
  6. I think we'll sit back today (low block to the hipsters) and soak up the pressure. Hopefully Big Jamal isn't asked to play out from the back and do what he is good at. Crunching people and heeding the ball out.
  7. I think it was dependent on them getting promoted. Which looks unlikely now. I feel for ShortStaff though. He has had a bad injury as his contract runs down.
  8. Don't think so. He is 21 and has only played one PL game as sub for West Ham so can't be that highly rated. Eddie said he needed to build up his fitness when we signed him a month ago and he still isn't anywhere near a squad. Glad to be proved wrong of course.
  9. Maybe Scotland will be his destination. I can see him in a Hibs top.
  10. Dummet, M. Longshaft, Ritche, Gillespie., Karius Ciaran Clark will all be gone in the summer at the end of the contracts. We are stuck with Hayden, Lewis and Murphy for a while. Can't see us shifting them unless its on loan.
  11. Will Ashby ever get some game time? I suspect he might never play for us.
  12. I did think similar but he is useful in a few positions so will be a good squad player.
  13. Yeah, I meant on left wing as I don't think he'll track back like Gordon. I think Maxi got pelters off Shearer when he didn't track runs at Ethiad (last year?)
  14. Everton won't go down. Life finds a way.
  15. Ive never rated Sterling but others in the game do. I read he needs specific instructions on what to do or he is lost which is why he thrived under Pep.
  16. Good point about Joelinton. I'd give him a rest off the back of that and play Willock-Bruno-Longy with Gordon on left hand side. Playing ASM would be ballsy when we won't have a lot of the ball. Might even be worth playing him up top although I'd prefer to give Isak a start.
  17. I used to live on the same street as Caroline Lucas. Little factoid for you all. Enjoy.
  18. Its all about the POMO. Allardyce was all about stats. Case closed.
  19. Karius looked nervy as fuck in the face but did well. Certainly no complaints from me after not playing for 2 years and being mentally crushed by the CL final. Pope only got a 1 game ban didn't he?
  20. Just felt the run up to the final went against us. Bruno red, losing form and then Pope topped it off. It could only happen to us. We are in a rut at the mo and hopefully Bruno is available for the next game. We need to find some goals from somewhere. Miggy and Wilson have dried up. The rest aren't regulars which is why I wished we went balls out on Maddison in January.
