Even at the office I work for, there are drivers who make the £50 quids a shift and those who make the £100. Its no different to any line of work really. I went from nearly 100,000 a year to £50 dole with a nice big mortgage and it saved by bacon and still is, so take your fucking exagerated figures and go fuck yourself with them. If you are trying to get from there to Penshaw in rush hour you'll be looking at at least 40 mins I would say. It'll not be a cheap taxi fare, it's the best part of 20 miles. There is the George Washington Hotel in Washington which is passable, but doesn't solve the 'stuck in arseend of beyond' problem. Read some bad reviews of GW Hotel. Priced a taxi at around 20 quid each way, not too bad seeing as I'm not paying for it.
