The catholic church has been shifting its position on a variety of things since Galilleo. Adapt or die. Personally I'd prefer the latter and moronic comments like this will hasten it. Well there are certain things like the importance of life that they can't, or rather won't, shift on. Personally I'd rather they showed a bit more respect for the importance of the lives of the people who are already on this earth than worrying about unfertilised sperm.

The problem is that if he recommends using condoms then it goes against everything the Catholic church has been saying for hundreds of years and to do that would be a seismic shift in church policy. Sometimes it's better to say nothing at all.

When Kinnear was appointed there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding the club so giving him a short term contract made sense. At the moment I'd be happy to see someone take over until the end of the season so we can have a chance to take stock then and take our time to see who is available and who would actually be interested in the job but given their support for Kinnear I don't have much faith in them making the right appointment regardless of how much time they have.
